OMG, I heard this song at work today January 09 2021 and I remembered when it originally came out as I was a young man serving in the military and stationed at NAS Lemoore CA and my then girlfriend was attending Fresno State University, she is Hispanic and Asian mixed, that girl would have us dancing to the Long version of this song everytime, man, those were Fantastic and Great days.

I may not be able to go back to my era but i'm glad the newer generation can appreciate this because it's a testament that this music will always be great. It doesn't disrespect women and the songs had clarity, allowing people to understand that it was all about love. You could come from any walk of life and fit in. Freestyle is and will always be alive. Funhouse,10-18, Broadway96 ,Emerald City, Studio54, Devils Nest, Bonds, Gothams, Roseland, Underground, Union SQ, Heart throbs,Tunnel, Garage, Boiler room. These places and several others were legendary.
I was there too and remember it like it was yesterday. It's kind of sad when I see all these young people going out to just get drunk today. I used to get dressed and go with my friends out to dance all night long. Those were truly fun times.

One of the greatest underground club hits of the 80`s. We rarely heard this stuff in the Southeast U.S. except in Miami and maybe Charlotte, NC. but when that beat dropped everybody was on it boooey!

This track was played a lot in 1986 over the airwaves while mixing freestyle and house music in the Norfolk/ Portsmouth/ Va. Beach area.
I used to hear it on college radio and Saturday night mix shows from my local R-n-B stations in Raleigh, NC--not to mention that clubs played it all the time.
