Thanks for uploading :) I noticed though that about a minute after you said you were no electrician, you actually touched one side of what looks to be at least a 300v capacitor, and really close to touching both sides with your finger. I kinda flinched cringed for the pop. Now I'm not sure if you had discharged that but I would warn anyone watching not to just be sticking your fingers around those capacitors unless they are properly discharged first, no matter how long the TV is unplugged.
Thanks much for video. I was either going to sell mine for $10-15 as parts TV at flea market but knew I can fix. The reason I knew it could be something simple is I am getting nothing. Not even the little red light. I knew it had to be fuse, cap or something simple. Basically knew it had to be something similar to a switch being turned off(blown fuse). Thanks much again for useful video. It has reassured me to keep it and I can fix it easily. Regards Shane
I have an older Insignia 65 inch. Red indicator light is on. TV will try to boot and get to the Insignia screen and maybe a half second or even less the screen goes all black. Tried all of the unplugging and replacing batteries. Removed all of the HDMI plugs to the tv. Any other suggestions. I've considered opening to see if any fuses were blown. Did that before on the tube TV's but never tried to open a flat
Mine is an Insignia NS-PDP50. It will power on for about 20 seconds (showing the menu, etc.), then turn off. But if I put a video to it (HDMI) it shows the video for about 3 seconds then turns off. Would that be a video or power issue?
Hi Thank you for the video. I have question, the red light comes on the TV but there is no picture. Should I get this board or the main board? Thanks again.
Sorry, but I don't know how to advise you. In my situation, the entire board was blown so it made sense to replace the entire unit. However, in your case, it sounds like the circuits - at least some of them - are getting power, so there's probably a different solution to your issue. Wish I could be of more help.
Found an insignia 48 inch on the curb, won't turn on but the red stand by turns on. What could be the problem? I looked at the power board but didn't detect blown fuses
@@dinobooker6807 well I changed the power board and that wasn't the problem, it probably was the main board at fault, I decided to just throw away the TV.
the problem that I'm having with my Insignia TV model number NS LT DVD 26 - 09 I have it on and play for a while and then cut off. I truly don't have a clue what to do with it. was hoping that you could probably give me a contact number or location near me and Harford County Maryland 21040 or a listing of your locations or contact number thank you George
It could be a number of things, bad power supply, blown capacitors, I'm not sure. Unfortunately, I don't have any contact numbers...Sorry, & good luck.
