How to Change Active Speaker in Descript

- I demonstrate how you can automatically change camera angles in Descript according to the active speaker. I include steps and instructions on transcribing and labeling speakers, merging video and audio tracks, and utilizing the multi-cam feature to seamlessly transition between speakers.
The active speaker in multi-cam sequences is a feature that Descript has to allow you to quickly switch cameras to the person that is talking in your composition. This can save a lot of time by automatically creating scenes for you at every speaker switch,
I also share tips on manually adjusting scenes for side-by-side layouts and coping layouts across scenes for consistent editing.

Just discovered your video series on "descript tutorials" and it is so helpful, thank you!
One thing I would love you to cover in the future is an explanation of the difference between Sequence, Composition and projects, and when to use which.
Thabk you. A project contains files which can be combined into sequences which can be used to create compositions which you can finally export. This video will help I think: How to Correctly Assemble Multi-track Sequence in Descript

This is a great walkthru! I am unfamiliar with Descript but it looks like it has functionality I could really use. I'll be looking into this in more detail. Glad to see you offer courses in this. You do a really good instructional video. That bodes well. :) Thanks!
Thanks a lot, I appreciate your feedback. Glad you find this video useful. Lots more videos on this channel and happy to welcome you in the community as well!
great video. we love descript!! do you have videos on audio control in descript?
Thank you! Not sure what you mean by 'audio control'. I have one where you learn how to add music, use ducking, volume, etc. ua-cam.com/video/Z2pNVt4s_Fo/v-deo.html
@@Graphicious a video helping you to correct audio in your sequence and proper levels set. i’ve experienced making episode too loud and too low.
Descript has a function to auto-level the audio clips. It has compressor and limiter and loudness normalization at export. That's pretty much it.
