King Charles visits Wales on last stop of week-long tour

- It may be the last stop on his week-long tour of the nations, but, speaking in Welsh, King Charles assured the Senedd that, as much as his late mother had loved the country, so did both he and the new Prince of Wales, his son William.

I'm Welsh and at least he has made an effort to attend college in Wales and learn the language .He also knows more about Welsh history than many people commenting here. He has also done more to promote Wales than any of our politicians.
I am certain they will try to learn as they grow with you. Just my thought at this rather sad time for all of us. x

Well, at least Wales are not throwing folk in jail for holding up paper 😏
Wales is poorer than in 1969. UK is broken, not united whatsoever, and it is suddenly getting very worse. Wales has lost it's EU funding, funding for the poorest relative parts of the whole EU. No sign of the promised replacement, none.
Keep whining and you'll lose England's funding then you'll find out what broke is really like.
Partially you are right about loosing the funding from EU.. but you might not be aware that those funding were not free, and UK still have to pay back with high interest
Also the majority in Wales voted for Brexit
You have replacements. As seen in the thumbnail of this video. They're all Asian, Arab and African.
I'm happy Charles got his chance to rule I'm British and fully support my king 👑

Bible Language
Loin of Queen Bible Said ;;Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates Amen
The title of 'Prince of Wales' does not put Wales on the map in most countries. Here in Japan, the heir apparent is known as the 'Crown Prince' and never ever referred to as the Prince of Wales. Never. I suspect that many other non-English speaking countries also do not bother to translate as such. The British Embassy also don't use it in their Japanese language announcements. I agree that protesting on the day of remembrance of Prince Owain Glyndŵr, Prince of Wales and Lord of Glyndyfrdwy, is most appropriate on the 16th of September, which is his day.
When I lived in the far east I spent some time traveling in Chiang Mai Thailand, where most of the people I met had never even heard of Wales-not even princess Di, and the only Welsh names that they were familiar with were, Ryan Giggs and Gareth Bale .

Has anyone considered the incongruity between the date of the "visit of the present PM with the former Queen Elizabeth at Balmorale Castle" and the return of the Queens family to London before the visit with the Queen had taken place? It was announced that the New PM had gone to Scotland to officially receive her new appointment as PM from The Queen. The problem is that Queens family had left the Queen in Balmorale Castle at the time when doctors were saying that she was not feeling well ! How could The Queen who was "not feeling well" left alone by her family when she was so ill that she died 2 days later ? I think she may have died before it was announced that she had passed away. This makes the New PM of Britain illegitimate! Especially since the New PM was not given audience for approval by the Queen because she had already died! This makes the New PM of Britain illegitimate because she could not have received the Queens "approval" for the post she was appointed to!
Something unexplainable had happened. I am not satisfied. The Queen must have been dead at Balmorale Castle by the time the New Prime Minister hurriedly rushed to her bedside! Without Queens approval she would be considered illegitimate.
It was fimed. We saw it.

I am Dutch and firmly believe that all nations should be nationalists and that in respect of eachother. I know that over 100 years ago the English did all to wipe out the Welsh language. (Just like what happened to the Ukraïniërs, Kurds and now Tibetans and Uyghurs and Berbers in N-Africa). A prince of Wales should go to school and university in Wales and speak the language fluently. As should all Welsh and all ‘foreign’ immigrants into Wales. I hate seeing Ukrainians speaking Russian and Welsh English as their first language. It’s a nightmare to come for the Kurds, Tibetans, (1 million Tibetan kids are forcibly in Han Chinese boarding schools) and Uyghurs now massively in Chinese concentration camps.
And a prince of Wales should take residence in Wales, live there at least half of the year and fight for the Welsh course in Westminster. He should feel his Welshness.
For your education a professor from Oxford university Stephen Oppenheimer, did a study of welsh DNA his findings where 81% of welsh DNA comes from northern Spain, there was an old language spoken in Yorkshire before the Vikings the Danes and Roman,Celtic was spoken Celtic is a very early form of welsh, the word wales in this old language meant foreigners or outsiders, welsh is a Brythonic language, meaning British Celtic it goes back to 600bc it provided the basis for not only welsh but also Breton and Cornish,so the point is welsh as we call it just spoken today was not the first language spoken in that region of the uk
