I don’t think they’re wasting any of Herbert’s potential. The Patriots were a run-heavy, great defensive team during their dynasty. Tom Brady still had 4k+ yards, 30+ TDs, and still won MVPs and Super Bowl MVPs and 6 Super Bowls… Herbert will be fine.
The biggest surprise for me was Brenden Rice. I was gobsmacked that he was available at #225. Not that they took him, but that he was available that late.
I can't get the picture of Maxx Crosby obliterating the right side of the Chargers line Over and over. I cannot freaking wait to see how that battle turns out with Alt at right tackle. It would be amazing if Trey can make a quality adjustment to RG. Not sure he is quick enough and nimble enough for the guard spot though.
I couldn’t agree more with Miller’s take on their secondary. They don’t have much in their bullpen as far as their safety room is concerned but I have trust in Hortiz to make the right decisions which is refreshing to have in a GM!
@@atomknight8361 the key word is “genuinely”. I am excited every year also but always having doubt in the back of my mind. Not this year. It’s different now
Junior Colson will be the most impactful draft pick because as a rookie he will lead the defense making his team mates better. He has played this system for four years.
This one's for Jim. QJ isn't as bad as a lot of people think or say about him. If you look at his stats he only dropped 3 balls last yr. When I read that, probably like a lot of people again, we're surprised. I think his problem was his lack of confidence and was used the wrong way. It looked like they wanted him to play like Mike did. Well we all know you can't expect a rookie to go in and do that no matter what rookie you're talking about. So I'm hoping that this coaching staff will go back and look at his tapes from TCU and pick out the plays/ routes that he looked good at and use those. Idk, as I'm DEFINITELY not a NFL WR'S coach, just putting my 2 cents in
@sdfishinn I looked because I didn't believe what a lot of people were saying. That he dropped a lot of balls last year. Come to find out all of the people who said that he dropped a lot of balls were wrong, just like I thought.
Dean Spanos gets the A+ for telling his boy John a decade of failure means he’s gotta sit back, shut up and let the real football guys run the franchise.
Did Jeff Miller really say "he scored a lot of touchdowns" bruh... Rice had 9 touchdowns IN FOUR YEARS. wtf do you mean a lot of touchdowns. 16 players scored more TD then his entire career in 2023. Lmfao. IM hoping the kid does well but hes lucky he got drafted at all.

Great chemistry guys.

Think that speaks for all of us⚡⚡⚡
We're not far from competing this year in my opinion
Health + improved defense = wildcard

The Chargers should hire Jerry Rice as the WR Coach
WR DJ Chark to the Chargers , 4.34 40 !!!!!!!
New Tyron Johnson

Enough with the maximizing herbert bullshit. The team needs to maximize FOR herbert.
I give the Spanos family an A+.

Worst owner in the league since the commanders were sold. They get a straight F. Pipe down
@@atomknight8361I agree they’re awful but they actually fucked off and allowed the new guys to run the draft this year
