I recently added Rokblokz mudflaps to my 2023 Bronco Black Diamond. I like how they mount, but they do not provide long enough screws to properly assemble the front flaps. Rokblok has added a metal plate to stiffen the assembly on the front plates, but did not update the screw lengths to accommodate the thicker stack of material. The provided 1/2" long 10-24 barely engage one thread on the holes which go through the metal stiffening plate. I ordered 9/16" 10-24 screws to assemble these properly, and this fit well. I made Rokblokz aware of this problem and their response was: "Thanks...but we know what we are doing." Not a great response, especially given the cost. Good engineering practice we teach at Caltech is that screws should engage 1.5 screw diameter. For a #10 screw, (0.190" dia.), this means the screw should thread in 0.285", which is 7 turns.
Love that you give pros and cons to the car much respect ‼️
Love it! As a new Bronco owner of 3 days never would’ve thought of that! Thanks for sharing.
Happy to help and congrats!!
Not even the same driving conditions, but I have been thinking about some mud flaps on my Mustang as well. That Bronco looking good. Keep loving it
I wish I put them on sooner and appreciate it man
