    That looks great! I was looking for something that I could use to heat up my tent a little in winter, do you think that could work? I don't expect to have 30*C in there but having 0*C while there is -10*C outside would make a big difference.

      Not nearly powerful enough, but it could keep your hands warm.

      @@abyssunderground Ok, my PC with 400W power draw definitely makes my room warmerm when playing games so I was thinking that 200W heater can heat up small tent just a bit :P

    • @abyssunderground
      @abyssunderground Рік тому +2

      @@skapi__1724 that's still air with little ventillation and the room will be insulated. A tent isn't either of those so you'll find it won't make a difference especially at negative 10 where heat loss is much higher.

      What would be more efficient is an electrical heating blanket that you put inside of your sleeping bag. That might work beautifully, especially because the blanket is isolated from heat loss due to the sleeping bag and the heat is right where it needs to be.

    very detail and nice video!!!, thank you so much. I'm trying to use a air heater in my project. Can I control ptc heater using a relay and microcontroller (without thermal controller)?

    No solder on crimps, it defeats the original purpose of crimping and using connector's.

    • @Personnenenparle
      @Personnenenparle Рік тому +4

      For higher power applications, adding solder to crimped joints will reduce the resistance and prevent heat from building up there.
      It can increase the risk for metal fatigue when theres a lot of vibration, but thats not really the case here.

    The relay you shared is no longer available. But if I connect a 12v power supply, do I still need it, can I do without it?

    Please make a dc room heater. Which can consume low dc voltage but should provide good heat.

    I try to expand my electrical skills and knowledge… What is the purpose of the relay in this situation? Isn’t that build into the stc-1000 temp controller?

      the purpose is to turn the heater on and off. there are some thermostats that will have a switch in them. but most don’t and even if they do they are not very powerful

    That switch is not rated for DC use. Only for A/C use. Please find a different switch before it melts and possibly catches fire

    Your ideas are good however please take a soldering course as melting a blob of solder on a wire does not get it and once you take a soldering course you will learn why.
