Wow! The demo with the cable needle was great! Looks simple. But wow… the trick to use if you don’t have a cable needle or don’t want to use one is super neat! 🎉🤯😊
You are one of two ladies that I learn from repeatedly. You are so beautiful & gifted & we are so fortunate that this is one of your favorite things & you always share & teach & most of all you share your heart & soul.
I love this! A great techniques shawl Thanks to the designer for a beautiful design. Thank you Chandi and Tim for a great tutorial and filming. As always, your beautiful words at the end of the video lifted my spirits.
Learned some new things today. Unique set up and i-cord bind off. Had never seen these techniques before. As always, Chandi, your tutorials are so clear and easy to follow. You make it look effortless. And I’m thinking (from your video on how much goes into your filming), it is anything BUT effortless! 🙏💚💚💚
Wow ! really beautifull!!! Thank you for this tutorial and pattern! And at the end, what you said, was like you were speaking to me: cause I live with ms and away from my family (my son is near and he is the reason I'm where I am: to be in is life), so yes , I made it this far, and I will make it father , a shawl at a time! Have a wonderful week end, lovely! I'm writing this just so you know that, each week, you bring me joy to go through the week-end ! Thank you! x
WOW! It's wonderful to see another gorgeous shawl from Chevon! I love this simplistic cable pattern and the colorways is AMAZING!!! I got the Red Velvet Rose yarn earlier this week and I'm still drooling over it!!!! I love you colors and the softness of the yarn. My wrist is getting stronger and my surgeon want me to keep knitting and crocheting, can't argue with him! I have about 3 days left on the Acalypha shawl border. I love the knitted-on border! Love and hugs to you and your team!!! Thank you for making my life and my knittting/crocheting skill better with each project!
great instructions has always. I have never done a garter tab cast on before, even though i have being knitting for quite a number of years. Cannot wait to start this one added to my long list of projects to start on
I did the test for this pattern. Loved it! It's a great pattern...very doable even if you're new to cables. I personally prefer a small straight cable needle for this. The Luster Sport has such a great shimmer that shows it all off. The project before blocking has a very different shape, which is really fun to see when you block it out. I absolutely love the i-cord bind off, so neat and clean!
I was watching the second option for doing the cable and thinking, "that looks like too much work," when you said, "this option is a little bit faster..." lol. I think I'll just take your word for it. haha
lovely!!! I'm already thinking in my head on how to make it a 3-panel shawl (honestly, not a fan of triangular shawls).... but I LOVE this stitch pattern!! & too funny, I was doing an I-cord bind off as I was watching you, but I k2 k2tog tbl....I think it's faster. 😉
You might be thinking of last week's pattern, Aisling, which used the Bryna kit. It's very similar in colors to the Wetland Hues kit: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/aisling.html We haven't released a pattern with the Wetland Hues kit, so I'm not sure.
Yes, but you'll need to increase your needle size. Make a gauge swatch with the yarn you want to use, and find the needle size that gives you the look you like. You'll also want to try a couple of the cables with the chunky yarn and your needle to make sure the needle is large enough to easily make the cable without it being too tight. And of course, you'll need more yarn.
Hi Maria, yes, we do have a written pattern for Cable Wings. You can find it here: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/cable-wings.html The links to all the patterns included in our tutorials are always posted in the description box below the video, in case you're looking for it next time. Enjoy! 💕
Thank you so much. But i searched for the pattern, and finally i could purchase it. And now i have just knitted the Hole day to make this beautiful shawl. Again thanks for help, it is so helpful, with those tutorials when I get stocked. ❤️❤️🙏
This is the only video available for this pattern. Our tutorial aren’t pattern videos, they are companion videos to our full written patterns and only show the parts we feel need more visual aid. Please make sure to download the pattern from the pattern page here: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/cable-wings.html The link is usually also given in the description box below the tutorial. Have a nice day! 💞
Hi Carmen please try this trick for Spanish subtitles: Turn on closed captions, and click on the Settings (the gear icon). Choose Subtitles/CC and to the right of that there is a language option. Use that to select Auto-Translate, and then choose Spanish. UA-cam will automatically translate the closed captions for you. I hope this works. 💕
I'm not sure if that's the music you're referring to but the melody int he beginning is from "A Day Like This" by Clarence Reed. I hope this answers your question. 💕
Hi Markus, danke fur deine Nachricht. 💖

I was watching the second option for doing the cable and thinking, "that looks like too much work," when you said, "this option is a little bit faster..." lol. I think I'll just take your word for it. haha
Whatever works for you is all that matters! :)
I always skip patterns with gater tab because it’s always explained in such a complicated way. You made it look so easy

& too funny, I was doing an I-cord bind off as I was watching you, but I k2 k2tog tbl....I think it's faster. 😉
It shouldn't be too hard to convert the stacked cable stitch pattern to a differently shaped shawl.
Thank you😊
You're welcome 😊
Thank you for the lesson love it
My pleasure! Have a wonderful day!
Bonjour
Merci beaucoup pour ce tuto explicatif.
❤😘😘😘
You're very welcome! Enjoy!
Hola, me encanta tu canal. Enviáis material a España? Gracias
Yes, we do ship to Spain! 😍
Hey chandi! Beautiful pattern! I was looking for one with the wetland hues kit, thought I saw one but cannot find it anywhere 😊
You might be thinking of last week's pattern, Aisling, which used the Bryna kit. It's very similar in colors to the Wetland Hues kit: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/aisling.html
We haven't released a pattern with the Wetland Hues kit, so I'm not sure.
Thank you so much! They are the most beautiful yarn pack I've ever seen 😳😊
I was just thinking about a cable shawl last night for my sister for Christmas. Will it still work with a chunky yarn?
I’m still learning!
@@ExpressionFiberArts thank you for the advice.

I hope this works. 💕
which crochet hook is the best?
I don't know which one is best, but I like Susan Bates crochet hooks because of the shorter necks.
Not another one! How can I find the time to knit all these gorgeous shawls!?! Chandi needs to take a couple of years off!!😉
Ha ha! I'm glad you like this one, too!
💜
Thanks!
What is the name of the music in the background, please?
I'm not sure if that's the music you're referring to but the melody int he beginning is from "A Day Like This" by Clarence Reed. I hope this answers your question. 💕
❤❤❤

Great pattern (as always)…the background noise (the dryer?) was distracting…
Glad you like the shawl!
