LAS VEGAS TRAVEL GUIDE: 13 Things to Know Before You Go
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 чер 2024
- Everything YOU need to know before you travel to Las Vegas Nevada. Las Vegas is BIG, so is the Strip. Downtown Las Vegas is really far from the strip but the Freemont Street Experience is cool and it's neat to see "old" Vegas. Don’t pick the cheapest hotels… You’ll regret that $25/night rate.
If you want to be in the “middle” stay around Caesars Palace. If you like “peace and quiet” pick a non-casino hotel. In the winter it can be really cold and windy! Bring a jacket Nov-Feb.
The casinos are always super cold… so bring a light jacket or sweater even in summer. Buffets are great, but just once a day. Twice a day is overdoing it!

Thank you SO MUCH for the updated video, Chris!
My pleasure JoeCool!
Oh I'm looking forward to watching this video! 💛 Love Vegas & hadn't been back in 3 years. This year, I plan to return there!!
I learn so much from your videos, so helpful and keeps my attention.
Leaving for Vegas tomorrow.
It'll be my first time going. I used alot of you videos when doing research 😀
That monorail was a dead horse from the day it started. Too far to walk to and very inconvenient stops. They should have constructed it directly above the Strip but the taxicab lobby put a stop to that. Now the trams on the west side are very convenient and FREE.
Yeah I remember spending about 30-40 minutes wandering around one of the hotels trying to locate the monorail before giving up and walking, I've been 5 times now and still haven't actually gotten to ride the damn thing.
@@ExpoAviation google maps is a thing you know… it shows you exactly where the monorail stops are.
@@MurderMostFowl some people seem incapable of using google maps i dont get it
@@MurderMostFowl I also had trouble finding some of the monorail stops and I know google maps well, shouldn’t need google maps to find Stations
You just don't go to the convention center for work. When there is a 5 day convention going on. All you have to do is book a hotel that is connected to the monorail, and that gives you an easy route to and from work. I couldn't imagine ubering to the convention. The monorail is not for people that is just vacationing. Why do you think resort worlds tesla loop only goes to the convention center. Las Vegas eats on people coming to conventions all year long not the casual vacationer.
Your daughter is so adorable 🥹
Thank you 😊
Excellent work Chris!! It's all in the details.
Thanks YouDecide!
Great videos, these are the information us normal folks need. Us that needs to plan everything ahead. Us that are nervous about traveling. Us that have anxiety. This is great for us. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you, Chris for the video. Excellent content
Thanks Rodrigo!
Love the video! As a rollercoaster enthusiast, I would love to see you do a video on the different rides and coasters that Vegas has. ☺️
Thanks for the suggestion
Truly informative, Love it.
Good to get an update periodically as things change. Haven’t been to Vegas since the pandemic and was shocked to find valet parking now cost $25
Thanks Robert. Yeah. Everything costs way more
I’m getting ready to take my 5 trip to Las Vegas ! Thank you Chris for the updates to the city !
Thanks Ivan!
Love these updates Chris! Gearing up for trip #10 with the family in early February - we always look for your latest Vegas posts before we plan! Sad to see the monorail go - fun to ride but its quite a hike from most resorts.
Very cool Jimmer!
If you wanted to get to Westgate or SLS/Sahara (which are both off the beaten track for 'regular' vistors but worth a detour if you have never been) the Monorail was really useful. Otherwise it was kind of unnecessary.
Resorts world charges parking fees of $10 without a players card as of Jan 4th. Free with card.
Really great video - thank you!
Thanks for including so much in one 22 minute video. i hope to get there one day and follow your tips!
Thanks Alex!
Thank you for the updated video. 👍😊
Thanks!
Good Info great Vid gonna Share this
Thanks for your videos.. I am visiting soon and will definitely be following some of your tips! :) Keep up with the good work!
Thanks Gloria
Yep..going next week perfect timing as always
Missing Vegas! So much to see & do! Thx.
Going to Vegas this weekend.... love your channel!! Excellent stuff....Thx~
Thanks Gavin!
Thank you for this video! so helpful.
Thanks Andrew!
Great colab with Travis!!!
Great video. I can’t wait to go back to Las Vegas! I haven’t been since before the pandemic 😷
Excellent video!!!! Thanks
Great Video and very informative Thanks from England
Thanks James
Another great vid. Thank you!
Thanks Marty!
Great informative VLOG Chris. I had no idea they were closing down the monorail, it's a great asset but cannot imagine it's used massively because it's not overly visible. On my first trip to Vegas we stayed at Sahara and rode the monorail to MGM every day to see centre and south strip, it was great value and easy to use.
My favourite time to visit Vegas is May or June, not quite peak summer for temperatures but very nice weather and enough people around that poker rooms are busy yet you can get reservations for all shows and restaurants easy enough.
Thanks Mark! The Monorail is indeed great if you're staying at the Sahara.. it'll be a big loss for that hotel
Thanks good show.
Good job and well done as usual Chris
Thanks 😊
I’m taking a trip in may this year this video was amazing info thank you!!
Thanks John!
Great tips, will be here mid Feb, can't wait!
Enjoy Travis!
Great video, Chris!! we're actually going to Vegas right at the end of March for a Maroon 5 concert and this is an exceptional video getting to know Vegas. vegas changes practically every year, after all, so I'm staying in the know!!
Neat! Enjoy Vegas!
Hi Chris. Thank you for the update info for Las Vegas. I plan my trip at the end of October/early November because I love the weather at that time of year. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Thanks James!
Tip: if you’re a military vet, you’ll get automatically upgraded to the second lowest loyalty tier for free. For MLife and Caesars rewards, that includes free parking at any of their properties and if you go the bellagio buffet, you can use their express line to skip the line. Other buffets usually need you to be the second highest or highest tier to skip the line.
Also, shoutout to the spunky princess. She’s too adorable. 😂🤘
Thanks jt!
Just a note, this only applies to US vets. I am a Canadian vet and asked about just military room rates and was told its only for US military.
@@Snakes709 well yeah its not canada lol
HI CHRIS THANKS FOR ALL THE INFORMATION ON Your vedio CHRISTINE
Great job Chris, as usual! Also, folks should remember that Resorts World is getting ready to, if not already doing so, charging $10 per day for parking. Then for folks like myself who would Never pay $70 for a brunch buffet, folks may want to also consider other properties like the MGM Resorts along the Strip, as well as an outstanding inexpensive buffet at the Palm Resort off of the Strip. Happy New Year! CAB😊
Thanks for the update on Resorts World
Resorts World is indeed (technically) charging $10 for parking but all you need to get that waived is to have their rewards card. And who goes into any casino without one of those anyways?
Going next month, this came out right on time. I've been watching your whole LV playlist too!
Right on Pogo Joel. Enjoy your trip
Thanks for sharing this! I have used your tips for LV, Hawaii, Singapore & they come in handy when my wife, me, and my mini me travel! Hope to run into you one of these days & tap on some extra tips as well!
Awesome!
Great video !
Waoo. I want to visit this place. Thanks for the video.
Nice video
Thanks Chris, good show.
Thanks Joseph!
GREAT INFORMATION THANKS
Thanks Linda!
I’ve been to Las Vegas like 7 times in my life, thanks for the video
No problem 👍
I think the Monorail is going to be around for a couple of years, and yes, the MGM grand stop is terrible, however, the Westgate and Sahara stops are right near the casinos, and other stops are pretty near the strip. I love breezing above the buildings - and traffic can be really jammed down below.
Great job 👍
I like the updates you give, can't wait for your next video :D
Thanks James
@@YellowProductions Yvw
Very helpful video!
Thanks Chris!
I love VEGAS! Been there 8 times & every time ITS MORE FUN
These are some awesome tips! I really need to consider heading to the Vegas area possibly this year as Nevada is one of the 4 states I still need to visit. I will keep all of these in mind when I eventually go!
Thanks Scott!
Just got to Vegas a few hours ago! Watching this video now! 😊
Sweet!
Great video and tips! Yes, if you go Sunday to Thursday you can get great deals on hotels. Another great non casino hotel is MGM Signature. Huge rooms with whirlpool tubs, full kitchenette and balconies. Moving walkways all the way to MGM Grand and full pool access to the MGM Grand pools. I am not a huge gambler but I religiously use my MGM Rewards card on the slot machines. After each trip I always get emails with MGM room comps for 1-4 nights.
Another great Vegas video Chris! We'll be staying at the Flamingo in two weeks.
Thanks Wakka!
Good update Chris!
Thanks 👍
I am going in June, 😊 For the first time I am so excited I can’t wait.😊😊
Awesome!
BEST VIDEO! 🎉THANK YOU
Wow, thanks!
Andrea and Chris LOVE Resorts World. They really do.
Excellent video you hit on so many key points. You speak so fluently on the info as if you're reading it. Impressive. Not sure if you mentioned it but those discount show ticket kiosks on the strip can save you some good money . Thanks for the free parking hotel update.
Viva las vegas for NFL playoffs!! Circa rocks!!
Your daughter is so cute
Thanks Allan! And definitely not reading. Using a Teleprompter would be a challenge on the Las Vegas Strip 😉
One thing to remember about the likes of Tix 4 Tonite or whatever the discount ticket kiosks are called, is that they don't actually sell you a ticket. They sell you a voucher that you take to the ticket office to exchange for a ticket, so you can't actually choose what seat you get but it's still a good deal.
Love your videos! ❤️🎰🎲🎢
Yay! Thank you!
YOU ALWAYS SHARE THE BEST INFORMATION AND I TRULY APPRECIATE IT. THANKS FOR SHARING, KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK 😁
Thanks Tracey 😉
My man Chris! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Peggy!
Good informative good tips video 👍
Thanks slfresh!
Adorei o vídeo mostrando muito sobre las vegas
All your videos are really great ! I'm planning my 4th trip to vegas (from France) this june and your channel is one of my favorites source of informations !
for the "getting in" part, I think you forgot to talk about public transportation, my understanding is that this is a really cheap and esay way to go to the action ! This summer I will stay in downtown and I plan to take teh CX. What do you think about it ? Is that a bad idea ?
Awesome job Chris.
Thanks Adam ;)
No problem Chris
plan to go vegas in Feb. Hope you have a fabulous year 2023.
Enjoy Vegas VirtualTour4U!
Great info. It's time for me to return to Vegas!
Thanks Frank
Hi Chris, @2:14 you forgot to turn off your notifications!🤣 Love your videos! Thanks for the awesome info!👍
Yeah. I probably did 😉
I love Vegas so much, went by myself last November for my 30th birthday , got some comped nights at aria with an app ! I usually walk all day, not gamble really much and usually have breakfast at coffee bean around noon and dinner some pizza at a nice restaurant , something I didn’t like this time was the pump it up at ballys arcade the pads were off , thanks for the videos and happy new year Chris !
Glad to hear you're a fellow dancing game player! ;)
Did you get laid
I don't recommend getting a rental car in Vegas. 1) Not only are you paying quite a bit for a daily rental, you are paying parking fees at every hotel - the one you're staying at and the ones you visit - every day of your vacation. 2) There's a lot of traffic on the strip, especially at night. Who needs the aggravation of sitting in traffic? Besides, it's much more fun riding in someone else's vehicle and being able to look around and view the beauty of Las Vegas! 3) The parking lots are WAY away from the main attractions. There's enough walking to do in Vegas. Don't add to it by having to walk to and from the lot over and over. 4) If you plan on being on the Strip only, there are better transportation options (cab, Uber, the Deuce bus, the monorails and trams).
5) Time is valuable when going to Vegas. I think too much time is wasted shuttling back and forth from the airport to the rental car site to get and return your car. Plus, you would think the car is a big time saver. It's not. Transportation is readily available - right outside the front door. Also, if you add up the cost of using them, you will spend less than if you rent a car. 6) The only reason that makes sense to rent a car is if you're either making multiple trips to downtown or you want to visit things like the Grand Canyon, the Red Rock casino, legalized brothels (yes many guys go to them) or other places further away from the Strip.
One last tip: if you MUST rent a car, there are car rental locations ON the strip itself - like at Treasure Island. Easy pickup and return. If I'm staying a week in Vegas, I might get a rental car for a day or two to get to places further away. You don't really need one the whole week. There are so many things to do, you won't want to waste a lot of energy on the hassles of car rental.
Thank you 💛
You’re welcome 😊
@@YellowProductions I’m going to Las Vegas for the first time in October for my birthday with my best mate. We’re staying at the Rio. Your videos help a lot. I really appreciate them 👍
Looking forward to to this trip. Already booked a tour that will pick me up from my hotel and goes to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. Breakfast and lunch are included.
Where did you book this tour?
GC is very long drive
Also, rental cars can be rented at hotels/resorts. Research if your fave rental co is near you or what co your place of stay has and rent from there. My last stay was at NYNY and I have an account with Enterprise. I had a short walk to The Tropicana to pick up my rental. Too easy and none of the airport hassle of the shuttle to pick up.
I went to Vegas in November as well. The weather wasn’t too bad, one night I forgot to bring a jacket. it was getting cold, so I got a hoodie from the viva Vegas shop at the Paris hotel for only $17.
Good deal 😉
I actually walk from the airport to the strip then just stay and walk everywhere on the strip.
That’s what I’m planning on doing. I’ll take a taxi or Uber back to the air port when it’s time to leave. But arriving shouldn’t be an issue.
It’s far but if you’re young should be good and don’t have a lot of luggage
Great vlog! I am so pleased to see up to date information. Going in late April 2023 and haven't been there since 2015. Excited that we are staying center Strip (Hilton Grand Vacations at the Flamingo) at a 2 BR timeshare and we will definitely see the Fountains at Bellagio in daytime and evening this trip.
Thanks Steven! Enjoy Vegas!
We tried the monorail one time back in 2007. I remember walking and walking and walking all the way through the MGM to get to the back and i never thought we'd get there!! Once we did, there were hardly any people on it but it got us quickly to the hotel next yo ours.
Stay in September again. Thank you for the Video. Carmen und Sven
My pleasure Carmen and Sven!
Thank you. Love your videos!
Thanks Blue!
Thank you Christian Horner!
Good job.
Thanks Larry!
New subscriber here. Very informative and interesting vlog! 👍 😀
Welcome to Yellow Productions!
I'd love to learn more about the driver services resorts provide from SoCal to Vegas! Are the prices comparable with flying?
No one talks VEGAS like Chris !! 👍
Thanks Freddie ;)
Is there a fairly easy way to see when conventions and such are going on? Thank you for your info. Just subscribed 😊
Yes... this is the official calendar: www.vegasmeansbusiness.com/destination-calendar/
Idk why I’m watching this when I’m a resident lol, just appeared in my recommendation but was still fun to watch
Yup Vdara is a nice hotel. Was surprised it didn't have a casino.
Oh, you need cheap clothes there's Ross, Marshall n burlington on strip. Lots of clothes. I went because i thought "I need a suite jacket, they must have suites, it's Vegas!" Wrong
Wow oh wow Resort world looks stunning :) is this hotel near the main casinos like ceasers etc? We would be walking everywhere as don't drive
👍 📹 🎥 📻 📸. I like it.
Just curious how much time did you spend on putting it together
I'd say 40 hours in total for this video between research, going out and filming, and editing
There is a Westin just behind Linq. We've stayed there and it was great!
Glad to hear you enjoyed the Westin Andrea.
Someone’s been on the Helium! 🥳
Good video
Thanks Barbara!
Great video with up-to-date information, especially for anyone who hasn't been in a while. I like that you included some fellow explorers! So very true about checking the calendar for events. I've been to so many conventions there, and the participating vendors book so many rooms for their attendees. Also, the rodeo in early December is such a huge draw that the hotels really go up in price.
Thanks Janice!
I too checked the Convention Center Calendar and luckily, CES is right before we arrive and nothing major going on at Convention Center while we're there.
There are relatively cheap jackets on the strip. You have to walk a tiny bit but Marshalls, Burlington Coat Factory, the Miracle Mile shops, and even the Fashion Show Mall are all reasonably priced and reasonably close depending on where you're staying.
Thanks for the tip Sean!
Very beautiful
Chris, I can’t get enough of your “Las Vegas worst hotel” blog. From the marihuana /urine smells, to the eyelash glued to the bathroom wall. ( it just gold ) 😂
Right on Freddie :)
