Ive done similar using Fox Armour Mesh before now, making up small sausages with it. Chucked in all sorts with it too. Still frozen bluey and mackerel guts, peeled crab legs and claws, the insides of squid when premaking frozen lug/squid baits, all sorts.
Loved this video I do the same with cart, although trying a different recipe, which is cart, bluey ,squid, mackrel, black lug and porridge yes porridge I think it will absorb a lot of the juices and release it when it's in the water, going to try in the next few weeks.
So how did you get on with the porridge?? Seems like a good idea in principle, like sawdust soaking up blood and lots of lovely (!) looking juice left in bowl. FWIW, clingfilm gets in a real mess when sealing ends, so I cut up one of those thin degradeable bags into 22 x 2" ish squares and much easier to handle with wet hands.
Thank you for the video. I'm using this system for catfish. Mix from mussels sardines and leftovers. Leave it overnight in sardineoil. Rig this on a needle, shift is over the line till the hook. Top of with wurms on the hook. Fissing on line 2 with 5m off leadcore under a balloon . Works well on a bellybutton.
Thanks, do you think that mixing assorted leftover bait would be effective? I was thinking along the lines of squid, bluey, sprat mackerel and any bits leftover from a piking session even. Could save a bit of time and cash!
Your welcome, :) i can't see any reason why it won't work. Best thing about this method is, it releases scent as it melts and its potent. I only use mussel and Scollop frills so far as I tend to use up all by bait during sessions

Sounds like something i will be doing with left over bait :)

To be honest we haven't been that much because the weather has been terrible but had some decent flatties on it but not the target fish.
Thank you for the video.

Thanks, i thought about silicone ice cube ones and will try it out sometime :)
Thank you for making the video, good idea for soft baits, it the time you put in that give you satisfaction when you do catch a fish

great cod bait
Why didnt you put the mussel in the net before freezing .
That's a good idea never thought about that 💡
if you done it that way then all the juices would seep through the mesh by the time it freezes
How do you use them ???? Do yo cast them…
I use them when fishing for cod in winter. I lash it on a hook with elastic or wrap it with squid and yes I do cast with them
Way too much trouble. Just hook em on the hook and throw em out there. Fuckin bandages indeed.
What sized mesh you used?
Hi its a Standard finger bandage mesh, which can be bought from pharmacy or boots
Nice one bro
I bet ur kitchen stunk after doing that😬
Yes it did lol
