Layne Redmond 1952 - 2013 is a pioneer in the modern frame drum movement inspiring thousands and thousands to play the frame drum especially women.
She was known as a Master Frame drummer, teacher, author, historian, mythologist, composer, recording artist, film maker, educator, world traveller, yogini and Bee Priestess.
She authored and researched for the book "When the Drummers Were Women: A Spiritual History of Rhythm.
