The camp site you found was cool. I liked the "waterfalls". Very nice editing of the falls! You have an artistic eye. Jax seemed to enjoy his walk. Thanks for taking us along.
It is my opinion that Jax is perhaps the coolest, worldliest, and most lovable cat in the entire world! What a lucky feline! So glad he has a loving human to care for him!! Also happy to see you're enjoying upstate NY!! It is a beautiful paradise! Soon the leaves will be turning and you will be in for a magnificent treat! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
Another great video! NY is my home state, born and raised in Albany! When people hear NY they automatically think NYC, there is so much more to NY as you are finding out! Thanks for sharing, btw you look great!! Love that Jax boy!! Be safe!!
Please never stop doing this. Not only do I really enjoy your videos but I am learning so much. Thank you for doing this! Lovin Jax, too. Happy trails!
You have a real talent for finding the most gorgeous spots. Jax is so funny on that harness. . . he's a real curious adventurer. . .LOL Stay safe out there. Your videos are the best!
Don't pick up hitchers usually means you next to a prison! 😂 Nice spot Eric! I know these are old vids but had to check them out! The road to the present journey!
Thank you for watching some older videos since you are new. That means you can ask all the questions you want since I won't have to say, "I'll already filmed there in 2016" or, "I covered that in detail in video. :)
I appreciate that! I can honestly say I'm really enjoying your vids all the way around! There's only a few I've subscribed... I like mellow people!😎✌️ Sadly ,still job hunting after 2+months! So in between applications and interviews I've discovered your channel! 😂 And if I haven't said it in previous comments... Thank you for sharing your adventure! 😊💜👣🐾
Eric awesome video!! You definitely have an eye for film making that other UA-camrs lack!! Nice to see Jax out and about! Please put Jax back into the intro!! Please stay safe you two as you travel alongside. Hoping to see New England foliage soon!
Great shots Eric as always, hope the power window holds out, its always something, Jax had fun exploring, you guys be safe have fun thanks again for all the great photography....Barb and Joe in Tennessee
I always love your technical directions Eric. I am now nearing retirement age and we did RVing across the US when our kids were younger, back in the pre-internet/pre-cell phone days. Would love to hit the road again but this time following your technical suggestions.
I love, love, love the trails, forests back there. So very cool. Great video! You freaked me out walking that narrow wall, yikes. Since my stroke I have crappy balance so even watching u made me dizzy lol. Can't wait to see more!
Great video, So glad you are enjoying New York...Liked seeing that walk you took Jax on.. Enjoy the rest of you`r stay in Upstate New York. Here's wishing you and Jax all the best..
I agree about the intro music. My favorite was what you first used! And, PLEASE NEVER change the ending Tonto music! Man, that just works! iOS 10 map does coordinates. Go ahead and upgrade, I love it!
you are in my neck of the woods !....lol.....the exit that you used to get on the NYS Thruway was 34-A in Syracuse, when your window was "stuck".......you got off at exit 33 and waited a terribly long time at the toll booth is the exit for the Turning Stone Casino......my wife works there....and we live off of exit 30.....about 35 miles east of where you were....COOL !
Eric,I worked in Oswego back in the early 70s at the power plant behind you.at that time they held one of the US record snowfalls.don't hang around to long.LOL.Tom
Tolls all over the north east Eric sometimes you just have to suck it up because it is just not worth going around because of fuel cost and time. I think the window switch is the problem. you are going to love the whole north east and the foliage is coming soon. And yes solitude can be awesome.
Before you replace the power window motor check the switch. 1st pull the switch and push all the contacts to make sure vibration hasn't loosened them. 2nd take the working switch out of the passenger door and see if that works. if it does you know the switch is bad, if it doesn't then start checking the motor.
Yep, I was going to say check for loose/corroded wires on the switch, or dirty contacts in the switch. (Swap wires between the driver and passenger switches. to check them)
With that shirt you were very luminous. When you walked across that small edge it took my breath away. It would be nice if you could get still shots of some of the areas that you're in because they would make beautiful pictures to hang up on a wall.
Just two more things. First, they do tax us with the gas tax even though they also toll us. They probably even tax us in other ways too. It's just tax hell in NE. Second, be very careful walking through trails where you're rubbing against brush because we have deer ticks everywhere and they carry Lyme disease. They are very hard to see because they are only a little speck. If you aren't aware of these ticks it's a good thing to look them up on the net. Glad you are liking NY, you'll probably love VT and NH.
I believe the window motor may have a thermal overload in its circuit. My 2000 Savannah does and if I hold down the down button while the window is going down it trips and won't come back up till it resets. Has done this since new. I have to bring the window down in increments (slowly).
Great video again and beautiful scenery. This is just a thought, but I noticed you walking on that narrow tall concrete wall, and you're in an isolated area with no service, if you fell off and injured yourself you may not be found for a while, just a word of caution, and something to think about when you're in isolated areas with no service of any kind.
Hey Eric, I've been watching your channel since you went all around Florida. I actually live in Marcy, NY which is about an hour west from the Stewart Landing Dam you stopped at. Good luck with making it to the coast!
Hey Eric! We have tolls here in Washington state: the Tacoma Narrows bridge, SR520 (the floating bridge that isn't I-90) and now the 405 has "HOT lanes" where you can pay up to $2/mile or more to use the HOV lanes.
Very close to where we live. You need to visit the High Peaks in the Adirondacks ---Lake Placid, Saranac Lake are awesome!!(we have camped on Upper Saranac for 42 years)!
Hey Eric, I know you've gotten allot of advice on the window. What happens is the grease in the tracks gets old and sticky. This causes the motor to work harder than it has to causing heat. The motor/or switches has thermal protection that shuts it off. if it works too hard. Once it cools it starts working again. Pull the panel and squirt something like white lithium grease in there. Or you will definitely have a motor/switch problem in the future. And it will burn up the switches too. Happy travels bro..
That's CamperVan Kevin's opening song, and rightfully so, Eric is wearing one of Kevin's colorful "Don't hit me" T-shirts. Good retro respect there, nf. nice
Be sure to lubricate your window channels with silicone spray. A long time ago I was shopping for a new power window motor in my Maxima because I thought it was failing, but discovered that I needed to lubricate the channels. I had no idea that it could affect the operation of the window like it did.
Regarding your window problem, I had something similar. The window would go down but not always go up. I finally figured out it was the up/down switch in the door. I had to pay $140 at the dealer since I didn't have time to go check out the junk yards to find a similar van.
Eric.... on your iPhone 6 plus open the app called maps, it should show a blue dot where your location is. just touch the dot and it will open a window on the bottom of the screen called "my location" swipe up and it give you the LAT/LONG in decimal.
Eric let us know what happened to the motor in the window did you need another one , is so are they expensive , thanks for the great coordinates on your GPS 🚐✌️
Eric, skip the converter and input into google earth or google maps with spaces between the D M S like following:43 27 42, -76 31 32 (same as North 43°27'42.00", West 76°31'32.00")Place a comma after the latitude and remember to always put a negative (minus sign) in front of the degrees position if you're in the western hemisphere, which in the US we are. Also, if the digit is only one number (ie 6 minutes) place a zero in front of it as a place holder (06).If you insist on using the DMS in its precise format, do it as follows:43°27'42.00", -76°31'32.00" - This will work.Again, using the negative for western (and also southern) hemispheres. The degree symbol can be obtained by the simultaneous keystroke of ALT+248. (ALTERNATE key and 248 on the right side keypad. Using the numbers on top of the keyboard will not work) Google doesn't like north (N) or West (W).
Eric, you can get your GPS position in decimal degrees directly from Copilot and Copilot does have a link to upload map correctionsKeep the great videos coming
Have you ever tried a cell phone booster like the Wilson? I have run into areas of extended weak or no cell service and wonder if it would help? I use the home version at my house in the country and it helps a lot. Thanks for sharing your tips, tricks and experiences with us!
I enjoyed watching all of your videos can't wait to see more of the east coast. Morgan seems too be very special to you do you see it going further down the road?
Welcome to the Northeast. Can't get anywhere without tolls. FYI since your RV is 2 axles but dual tires it's generally a higher toll than a 2 axle vehicle with single tires on the back.
Hi Eric ! Exit 33 Verona , Did you CK out turning Stone ? Your in the Adirondack Park boundary now . New land use rules for public lands . Go north in to the mountains you love it. Happy Trails .
On your window the chevy van I drive at work if you put the window all the way down takes a bit to get it back up but if go about 3/4th or so down works fine a thought till you get it fixed
Hey Eric the problem with your window could also be the switch , especially if you used the express down (if equipped) could have stuck In the down position causing the terminal protection in the motor to go open until cooled off .
Hey Eric - For GPS decimal locations, all you need to do is zoom in anywhere on Google Maps and click your mouse once and it'll display a temporary waypoint flag and a window at the bottom of the screen will pop up with information including the GPS decimal location. All you need to do then is copy and paste.
Hey Eric, enjoying your travel updates. Hopefully you get time to read this little tip for your GPS stuff. I use an app called "GPS Status" and it is available for iOS as well. You can set it for decimal GPs readout, plus it has a 'share' function that will send via email, text, or to your clipboard not only the dec, but a link to that co-ord on Google maps. A buddy of mine called it my "where's Waldo" app when I used the share function.
Your window motor has probably just a small dead spot on the contacts and that will happen again only if you hit the same exact spot when the motor stops. Could be a long time before it happens again. It will usually happen when you dont want it :) had the same problem a few years ago, was fortunate to discover it was the same motor for the rear window, so i switched them since i rarely used the back one.
Hi Eric! I haven't watched much lately...I've just been preoccupied with stuff...but you are looking good my man! Healthy and happy!!! I'm excited to see you approaching 100,000 subscribers...that will be quite a milestone. Best wishes for continued success for you, Jax and the new additions to your little family in 2017.

Eric, I just cut and paste the 43.143312, -74.594965 into google maps and it comes right up. Not sure why your converting the numbers. Keep up the good work...
The camp site you found was cool. I liked the "waterfalls". Very nice editing of the falls! You have an artistic eye. Jax seemed to enjoy his walk. Thanks for taking us along.

Thanks dude that nav info was awsome! Keep up the good work. Thanks for the ride along.
kartof1, the music and his blaze yellow shirt was Eric's homage to his buddy Campervan Kevin. Made me chuckle
you are in my neck of the woods !....lol.....the exit that you used to get on the NYS Thruway was 34-A in Syracuse, when your window was "stuck".......you got off at exit 33 and waited a terribly long time at the toll booth is the exit for the Turning Stone Casino......my wife works there....and we live off of exit 30.....about 35 miles east of where you were....COOL !

swtich. maybe.. another possibility is loss of lubrication causing it to stick.. spray WD40 down to the linkage in the door.. just sayin

so gorgeous! Hi Jax
Glad you liked Oswego. My sister used to live in Fulton, near there. Oswego is a nice college town.
With that shirt you were very luminous. When you walked across that small edge it took my breath away. It would be nice if you could get still shots of some of the areas that you're in because they would make beautiful pictures to hang up on a wall.
GREW UP IN NY STATE! LOVE THE WHOLE STATE! BUT IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN TO THE NEW ENGLAND STATES, YOU WILL BE AMAZED!
Just two more things. First, they do tax us with the gas tax even though they also toll us. They probably even tax us in other ways too. It's just tax hell in NE. great vid luv seeing jax cute with the curl in his tail.
Love that video I love the damn it is so beautiful I love it when you let Jack's out and let him look around to see you later

i felt exactly the same way.. dont take chances like that!! it looked like quite a drop....
your young take chances that's what makes great Vlog's 😜
You do have a point there, I've seen some amazing risk taking videos by younger people.
Eric, please go back to the intro soundtrack before with the western theme and the Jax meow. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I agree, really liked the other soundtrack
I agree. I like the Jax Meow version better.
I agree the new one sux!
i happen to like the new intro.. refreshing change.. sorry guys
Sarah W. - Try not to repeat the same thing over and over.

it's beautiful there! you have lost weight.... looks good! Jax too. good job

Very close to where we live. You need to visit the High Peaks in the Adirondacks ---Lake Placid, Saranac Lake are awesome!!(we have camped on Upper Saranac for 42 years)!
Eric, will you be back in N.Y for the fall leave changing? The areas your covering are beautiful. Thanks for taking us along. WW
I had that same problem with my window twice in a crown vic . Both times it was the master switch on the driver side door .
Cool Video!!!! NY looks like a nice place
NY definitely loves you.

Oh yeah
Beautiful area, zits suck! Hi Jax🙋🏻🐈👍🏼
Yes, this is Stewart's Landing. I used to camp there a lot when I lived in NY.

That green apple looks delicious.
Have you ever been up to Piseco-Powley Road? Lots of good camping opporunities up there, about 10 miles to the north in Stratford.
No, I haven't. Thank you.

Nice picture of Ziggy, Morgan and you by the mike!
Hey Eric , check out Valley Forge Park when in Pa. Lots of history and a RC flying field.
I enjoyed watching all of your videos can't wait to see more of the east coast. Morgan seems too be very special to you do you see it going further down the road?

would have been cool to see drone footage over the dam....oh wait.... sorry too soon? haha great videos man keep it up I look forward to watching them
How much did you pay on tolls on I-90 ?
I'm not sure total from all the days I drove 45 miles a day... During this video I paid 5 different times about $10-12 total for 45 miles.
....We miss the drone and the kayak and the RC truck. We worry about JAX health. Thank you very big for this video.
Great video! Keep up the awesome work :-)
yup it's the chevy express chassy contacts on the power switch window. I just ordered a new Switch off eBay and replaced it very simple to do.
Hi eric,,,you never want to be in oswego in the winter,,,,they have 12 feet of snow or worse,,,lol I was stuck there years ago in a semi,,,,
No, I won't be sticking around! lol.
If you right-click anyplace on Google maps and pick the 'What's here?' option, it will give you decimal coordinates near the bottom of the screen.
Thank you! Too easy! Lol.
Welcome!
Your window motor has probably just a small dead spot on the contacts and that will happen again only if you hit the same exact spot when the motor stops. The NYS Thruway was built before the interstate system and has always been a toll road. NY was ahead of the curve when they built it in the early 50's and they have discussed merging it into the DOT but it has never happened. I retired from the Thruway 3 years ago.
How many miles did you go for that $2 toll?
Probably like 8-10 on the one I filmed.
welcome to ny....good ol' fashioned double dippin'....
Maybe you could show us your system to level the coach one day? Do you use the "lego" block system? Thanks, Eric
Eric, I just cut and paste the 43.143312, -74.594965 into google maps and it comes right up. Not sure why your converting the numbers. Keep up the good work...
