A fantastic breakdown of events with historical facts, references from numerous sources and logic and reasoning to sort the matter out. Congratulations on a through dissection of events on this manipulation and the distorting of truth by scribes and other invested parties through the historical past and its persistence in the present.

Ismail was 14+ when Ishaq was born.
Ibrahim had Ismail at 86 & Ishaq at 100.
So if we go with bibIe narrative, I think Ishaq was 2 when Ismail was cast, then Ismail was near or over 16.
However if we also look at how Ismail was put on her shoulders, it could be this story is out of place & Ismail was cast out before Ishaq was born and was much younger, and seal and circumcision took place before showing he was meant to be sacrificed.
Quran says the chiId of patience was to be sacrificed.
Ismail is described specifically as a person of patience.
Muslim scholars differ on who was chosen to be sacrificed but the proponents that say it was Ismail use the point above, and that's the view that I follow.
It's possible the bibIe made a chronology error, it's not the only one.
Like in mathew it says Jesus went to Egypt until Herod passed away so was born 6 bc and luke says Jesus was born during the time of Cyrinius in 6 ce, 12 yrs later. Both can't be right.

Exactly! Islam is the TRUTH because the message of it has always existed since the creation of the universe. Islam is the ONLY faith which is NOT named after a Person, a Place, or People. It’s a VERB, a way of life. All the previous Prophets in the Torah and Bible were Muslims…
      - The word for God in Hebrew is Eloah. This was the language of Prophet Musa (Moses)
      - The word for God in Aramaic is Alah. This is the language of Prophet Isa (Jesus)
      - The word for God in Arabic is Allah. This was the language of Prophet Muhammad.
Peace and Blessings be Upon Them All. They all worshipped and prayed to the same Creator in the same way also…
      Moses and Aaron
      Numbers 20:6
6 "...they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto them."
      Jesus
      Matthews 26:39
39 "Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed"
      Muhammad
      Holy Quran 31:22
22 “And whoever submits his face to Allah while he is a doer of good - then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold. And to Allah will be the outcome of [all] matters.”
      Holy Quran 22:77
77 “O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good - that you may succeed.”
      Holy Quran 2:43
43 “And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].”
I will greet you the same way as Moses and Jesus in the Bible greeted people by saying Assalaamu Alaykum (Peace Be With You) in Islam…
Moses in Hebrew - Sholem Aleichem (Peace Be With You).
      Jesus In Aramaic…
      John 20:21
21 "Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you!”
      Luke 24:36
36 "While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."
Muhammad in Arabic - Assalaamu Alaykum (Peace Be With You).
It has always been One God, One Message, and One Humanity.
May Allah GUIDE those who are sincere and honest before it’s too late for them.

@thinkbeforeyoutype7106 It is always funny to see how you islamists always alter phrases and ripp them out of context. As an attempt to deceive ignorant people, you deliberately removed the rest of that phrase. Because the complete phrase says:
"Going a little farther, He fell facedown and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.” Mathew 26:39.
So clearly, you deliberately removed the rest of the sentence in which Jesus Christ called God his Father. Now I ask you two questions:
Is the god of Islam, Allah, a Father?
Why did you deliberately omit that important part in that phrase?

You accept Abraham,Isaac and Jacob, you know well that God promised to bless them with an offspring/son who will be a ruler and whose kingdom will last forever, *bearing in mind humans die,* it should make sense that kingdom that would last forever would only be established with one who is eternal (to be the king).
According to you, was this promise God made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob a lie? Because that is the meaning for rejecting jesus Christ who is eternal. Revelation 22: 13 describes Jesus Christ.
Muhammad distorted messiah's (Jesus Christ) message. Hence distorted the message( promise ) of God to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob because Jesus' message is to establish an everlasting kingdom with the righteous once He comes the second time on earth (sinners condemned for hell).

@@seekthetruthandthetruthwil2388 Jesus in the Bible was a Muslim because he preached and worshiped only ONE God exactly the same way Muslims preach and worship ONE God (pure monotheism). Here's proof from both the Holy Quran and the Bible….
      1) Holy Quran 5:72
72 "They have certainly disbelieved who say, " Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates others with Allah - Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers."
      Holy Quran 19:36
36 [Jesus said], "And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path."
Now let’s take a look what Jesus has said in the Bible and commanded his followers to do so...
      Mark 12:29
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord OUR God, the Lord is ONE."
      John 17:3
3 "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have SENT."
      Luke 18:19
19 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good-except God alone.”
      John 14:24
24 “Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who SENT me.”
      John 5:30
30 “By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who SENT me.”
      Matthew 15:24
24 He answered, “I was SENT only to the lost sheep of Israel.”
      Matthew 26:39
39 "Going a little farther, he fell with his FACE to the GROUND and prayed."
Noticed how Jesus (peace be upon him) always gives credit to God Almighty and he worships his Creator just like Muslims do by placing his head on the ground.
      2) Jesus also called his lord as Allah just like Muslims do today. Here's the Aramaic proof...
Jesus spoke Aramaic NOT Hebrew which most people think. The word for God in Aramaic is Alah or Allah which is a slight accent/dialect within the Semitic language. Even the Christian scholars who were behind the film Passion of Christ do acknowledge and confirm that Jesus has always called his Lord as Allah...
      ua-cam.com/video/gRr48TIpzro/v-deo.html
      3) Jesus also greeted people exactly like the Muslims do by, saying Assalaamu Alaykum in Aramaic. Here's the Biblical proof...
      John 20:21
21 "Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you!”
      Luke 24:36
36 "While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."
      4) And finally, Jesus himself and those who met and knew him had called him, a Great Prophet exactly the way Muslims refer to him. Here's more Biblical proof...
      Matthew 21:10-11
10 "When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?' 11 "The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the PROPHET from Nazareth in Galilee.”
      (Jesus)
      Luke 13:33
33 "Nevertheless I must walk today, and tomorrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a PROPHET perish out of Jerusalem.”
      Luke 24:19
19 “What things?” he asked. “About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a PROPHET, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people.
      Matthew 13:57
57 “And they were deeply offended and refused to believe in him. Then Jesus told them, “A PROPHET is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family.”
      Matthew 5:17
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the PROPHETS; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”
      Acts 2:22
22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a MAN accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.”
Even those who witness his miracles at first hand called him a Great Prophet!
      Luke 7:15-16
15 "The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother." 16 "They were all filled with awe and praised God. “A great PROPHET has appeared among us,” they said.”
      John 9:17
17 “Then they turned again to the blind man, “What have you to say about him? It was your eyes he opened.” The man replied, “He is a PROPHET.”
      John 4:19
19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a PROPHET.“
      John 6:14
14 “After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.”
So who should we believe? Those who knew, met, and witness his miracles or those who NEVER met him nor ate/drank with him telling us he’s “god” or “son of god”?
Seriously, those people need to study the Bible carefully and thoroughly about what Jesus himself said because their eternal salvation depends on it.
Jesus prayed to and worshiped Allah only yet they refused and want to pray and worship Allah’s creation (Jesus) instead of the Creator who is Allah. If they continue to reject the true teachings of Prophet Jesus, then Jesus himself has already warned them on whathe will do/say to those who claimed to worship him on the Day of Judgment when he and everyone else are in front of Allah Almighty.
      Matthew 7:22-23
22 “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!”
Subhan’Allah! Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction. Even the word Hallelujah is the same as Alhamdullilah since both words are praising Allah in his actual name yet they don’t even realize it. May Allah guide them and continue to guide us.
Jazakallah Khair and Assalaamu Alaykum (Peace Be With You).

And (remember) when Allah took the Covenant of the Prophets, saying: "Take whatever I gave you from the Book and Hikmah (understanding of the Laws of Allah, etc.), and afterwards there will come to you a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) confirming what is with you; you must, then, believe in him and help him." Allah said: "Do you agree (to it) and will you take up My Covenant (which I conclude with you)?" They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness; and I am with you among the witnesses (for this)."
Then whoever turns away after this, they are the Fasiqun (rebellious: those who turn away from Allah's Obedience).
Do they seek other than the religion of Allah (the true Islamic Monotheism worshipping none but Allah Alone), while to Him submitted all creatures in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him shall they all be returned.
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "We believe in Allah and in what has been sent down to us, and what was sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob) and Al-Asbat [the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)] and what was given to Musa (Moses), 'Iesa (Jesus) and the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between one another among them and to Him (Allah) we have submitted (in Islam)."
And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.
How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and after they bore witness that the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) is true and after clear proofs had come unto them? And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers).
Those - their recompense will be that upon them is the curse of Allah and the angels and the people, all together,
They will abide therein (Hell). Neither will their torment be lightened, nor will it be delayed or postponed (for a while).
Except for those who repent after that and correct themselves. For indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
    Holy Quran ❤

Very insightful clarification on the Biblical references pertaining to Prophet Abraham's sons and legacy, that also confirms the Quranic narrative. Kudos to Rosy for her thorough research and prudent inferences that color the racism & prejudices esp. in the Judeo-Christian Western media & nations of our times.

@seekthetruthandthetruthwil2388 we disagree on both of your points.
1)The messiah son of mary worshipped the creator.
2)He submitted his will to that of the creator
3)although it is clearly stated in biblios jesus is the son of man(Christians claim other)
      I submit:
If you follow the messiah son of mary then obey his directions.....if you follow Paul, then obey his directions.

Thank you, Rosy! Here's some additional relevant information that you can perhaps share on one of your episodes in future:
    1) Sarai apparently acquired Hagar as a servant during her time in Egypt. According to Genesis 12:10 through 12:16, Abram and Sarai traveled to Egypt due to a famine in Canaan, Abram instructed Sarai to say that she was his sister to protect them. As a result, Pharaoh took Sarai into his palace and as part of this arrangement, Pharaoh gave Abram many gifts, including livestock and servants. Hagar, an Egyptian, was apparently one of those servants given to Sarai and Abram during their stay in Egypt. From an Islamic perspective, we ofcourse cannot imagine Ibrahim (alayhis-salam) being deceptive about his relationship to his wife and trading his own wife in this manner for livestock and servants.
    2) The Bible is incorrect in using the term "Pharaoh" to describe the Egyptian ruler during Abram’s time, as it reflects a historical inaccuracy. The title "Pharaoh" was not used to refer to Egyptian kings until several (4 to 5) centuries after Abram is believed to have lived. During Abram's time (around 2000 BCE), Egyptian rulers were not called "Pharaohs" in the way the Bible presents them, as the term was more commonly used much later, especially from the Middle Kingdom period onward. This is an example of where the Bible doesn’t match up with historical or archaeological evidence.

At that time the birthright was very important as shown in the story of Esau selling his birthright to Jaxob (Genesis 25-34). If you red the biblical story you will note the great love of Abraham for Ishmael whom he frequently vidited when the latter settled in Arabis.

That’s why in circumcission, he had to cut off the flesh as a reminder/ sign not to do it his way but to wait upon God to fulfill His Promise in Isaac.

Salam sister! Is there a specific Bible translation you read out of? I like to read through the Bible and Torah because I find that it strengthens my belief in the Qur’an, and of course they (despite being corrupted) still hold values and teachings from the original Torah and gospels that can be beneficial.

    • @rosyskorner

I recommend the New International Version or the New Revised Standard Version. These versions of the bible have been translated using older and more superior ancient manuscripts than other versions of the Bible like the King James Version. These two mentioned versions more accurate in their translation from the original language and are used in academics and education. They are now considered to be the most authoritative because their publishers have been true to attempting to translate in the more accurate way possible.
I would recommend all Muslims to read the Bible.
May Allah Always Be In Your Korner.

The only two women known to have met the angel Jibril (Gabriel) are Maryam (Mary) and Hajar (Hagar)-peace be upon them both. Traditionally, Jibril only appeared to prophets, which raises the question: does that make Maryam and Hajar prophets? I’ve always wondered about this as well.

this is a great analysis sister. May Allah continue to bless your work and reward you for this great work. you are very lucky. however, it is never in the attribute of Allah (God) SWT to sow the seed of hatred between the children of Abraham (AS), true believers and worshippers. i strongly believe that it is the hands of the bible writers and the evil of satan that has been embraced by later weak & faithless men, who brought this problem to themselves and the world. Abraham (AS) and his children: Ismael and Isaac who were great prophets of ISLAM, both blessed by Allah (GOD) did not even know that Bible writers and later men will cause this to themselves. May Allah SWT continue to make us stand on the path of truth, love and obedience to His true and only religion, Islam.

the Biblical blessings have nothing to do with the order of birth over another
Israel was chosen to become a great Nation yet all the Nations of the earth are blessed thru them. One for all and all for one .
Cain was the firstborn though Abel was blessed over him
Esau was the firstborn yet Jacob received the blessing over him
Issac was blessed with the firstborn blessing over Ishmael not because one was better than the other. B
Because God says the First shall come Last and the Last shall come First.
Those who Humble themselves shall be Lifted up. Its about caring more for the other over our own desires that glorifies our Creator.

Isaac can't be the son to be sacrified, because Abraham was giving the good news by angles that will have Isaac and Isaac will have Jacob. This news came to him before Isaac was born. So, Abraham knew that Isaac will grow up and have kids, so there is no point of God asking Abraham to sacrify Isaac if he already know that Isaac will grow up and have kids.

Genesis 17v21. God's covenant is with Isaac through Sarah His wife.
Genesis 15:3. Sarah gave her maid Hagar to sleep with her husband Abram as a wife because she could not have children. In verse 5-6, Sarah now despises Hagar when she conceives and Abram tells Sarah she can do as she wants to her maid. He calls her " maid " not "wife" after sleeping with her. Hagar was never Abram's wife. She was forced upon her by Sarah who later regretted after the results became clear.
God created all human beings, not all human beings are His children, except those who follow Him. Who follow His Son. Who follow Jesus. There is no peace upon Jesus as He is Prince of Peace, He is Peace Himself.

It seems that the sequence of events in Genesis was altered and, when rearranged, allow us to know what really happened, if we read between the lines. Here is the story rearranged. Abraham and Sarah had the same father and Sarah was thought to be barren. (Because of closeness of relationship?) So, Abraham begot Ishmael with Hagar. Sarah begot Issac shortly after the philistine king Abilmilech of Gerar had taken her into his home as his wife. Abimilech...in a dream(!)...denied he had intercourse and it's thrice affirmed that Issac was the son of Abraham (!) Ishmael mocked at the weaning ceremony of Issac. (Mocked bout what?) Sarah told Abe that ...her...son would not be equal to Ishmael. Abraham (because of a dream?) tried to sacrifice his son (really to stop him mocking?), but was stopped by an angel who told him not to kill "his only" son. He instead was given an animal to sacrifice (orgin of lamb and scapegoat jewish ritual and eid ul adha). Abraham instead banished ishmael and Hagar to the wilderness, where he was raised by an angel. (And was old and wise enough not to continue mocking). Meantime, King Abimelech became the benefactor of Abraham and family. Abraham and Abimelech made covenant that Abraham will not kill his son. (Whose/which son?) When Issac was grown, he went to live with Abimilech, who gave him some of his land in Gerar. Issac dug wells, but the natives didn't like him and Abimilech asked him to leave. Later, Abimilech looked out of his window, saw Jacob, son of Issac, and warned his people not to harm him. Now, do the math. Cheers and all the very best.
