Thank you for this video - I tried several others before finding this one and finally I understand it! You explained the method very clearly and I’m now currently knitting a pair of socks thanks to your video!
Hannah, this video is wonderful - I tried about 10 others before I found yours. I just couldn’t figure out how to hold the wool!! Had success straight away after watching yours!! Thank you!!!
Honestly. You really are great. I've just got into knitting and you're the only Brit I've found who explains it and so well! Can't thank you enough. :)
Hannah I tried to follow a few other videos and I should have known better and come straight to you because you are so clear with your instructions, your videos are so easy to follow. Thank you so much for all your help. I really do highly recommend you to others. Thank you :)
I too learned this cast on method from my mother, and in fact it's the only one I know thus far :-) Thanks Hannah for yet another great and straightforward video !
Thank you, I'm just about to try this for the first time... But I'm old skool 1980s England! This feels rather weird ha ha? ...here goes anyway... Wish me luck trying the long tail cast on ...🧶

This is the cast on my grandmother taught me when I was a child and it’s still my favourite.
Cool! As a leftie I bet it's one of the easiest for you. As a rightie myself, it took a while to get my head and fingers around it! happy knitting!

Hi Hannah. I have noticed lots of tutorials use a long tail when casting on for knitting in the round - why is this?
Not sure about that, doesn't see to work somehow with the way the stitches will face.
