Wind turbines are a horrible incursion on Greek islands. The residents hate them, the tourists find them objectionable, and their output is minimal compared with the materials consumed environmentally. Do the research.

You are doing it to your selves,,,,,( if the period prior to the decision erecting windturbines were not democratic,,,,that would the issue to address),,,,,as I see it ,,, Elect new politicians if you want change,,,and take it from there,,,, also include in the discussion,,,,the alternatives,,,, possibly more fossil fuels,,, nuclear etc etc..... Many things happened and keep on happening besides people's opposition, even the referendum was violated!! We all know it here! Every party that comes to power choses the path of corruption. I m sorry i forgot this part regarding alternatives. The fossil fuels havent been reduced in Germany, the wind energy program has fail. There is solar, earth and water energy with less distruction (or no) and high efficiency but maybe they dont make profit for the companies. There are examples but not enough "space" here. I do not accept that fossil fuel, nuclear and this are the only choices because they are not! This thinking has never taken humanity any further!
Anna Kyr hi again,,,, so if every party that comes to power,,,,choses corrruption and are paid off,,,,,,, your particular solutions would also be corrupted right,,,,,, It seems to me ,,,thats it about culture,,, political culture,,,, and that is the issue,,,, I am from Denmark,,,,, here onshore turbines are now being turned down ( not in every case ,,,but it happens often ),,,,, mostly because of their size ,,, so old onshore are now being taking down ( we have 5000 ) and NOT ALLWAYS replaced ,,, because of local resistance,,,, Instead we are making off-shore windpower parks,,,,, its cheap and clean,,,,and there is a lot of support behind it,,,, I agree there is a lot of corrruption everywhere in the world,,,,,,,,,etc etc,,,I dont see a lot innovation coming from the political level,,,, Instead I encourage taking responsibility fore our own development,,,, long term that would mirror ourselves,,,to the outside,,,, Best of luck
