For me, soloman kane was a much deeper character than Howard's other work. The pilgram batman, though Howard never elaborated on it several times Kane would act without finding any justification to his actions. A deliverer of God who never swore any allegiance.
A solid clip! Solomon was always ambiguous in his reaction to magic/evil. He became friends of a sort with N'Longa--a necromancer--in his very first tale. One quibble: according to Novalyne Price and Norris Chambers--both of whom knew Howard--Bob pronounced 'Conan' as 'CO-nun', NOT as 'Co-NAN'. The latter is a relic of how Milius and Ahnuldt pronounce it.
I loved Solomon Kane, read his adventures in the 1980s "Savage Sword of Conan" best story was adaptation of "Wings in the Night". Daniel Day-Lewis his prime would've been a great Solomon Kane. I'd like to see "Solomon Kane" series on Netflix.
Dig deep in peoples phyche you will find this in core of people. Some people are closer to the surface than others. What set people off is different for all but I believe it is there to erupt at anytime just depending on the situation
Will definitely make a video on that too in future. Thank you for the suggestion. It really combined science fiction with fantasy in the "sword and sorcery" mould in an interesting blend. Hope you enjoyed our video 😊
REH was a HUGE Doyle fan from boyhood. While there were probably other influences, Doyle's middle name very likely played a part in Howard choosing 'Conan' as a name. He already had another 'Conan' in "People of the Dark".
Yes, although the narration is AI, we create and write our own scripts and edit it ourselves without any use of AI. The AI just helps us in the narrative process so it's easier to understand for everyone. AI will never be used in anything other than the narration in our channel ! Hope you liked the video 😊
I haven't read Solomon Kane but I enjoyed the movie starring James Purefoy.
Purefoy did really well in that !
Same here.
The movie was unique, its a shame it was not marketed better.
Agreed
I definitely recommend picking up The Savage Tales of Solomon Kane!
Great video. I must learn more about this man.
One of my favorite series.

Warren Comics had a few good stories about the man in their day .
Got any material on Nemesis the Warlock of 2000AD comic? Interesting faith vs chaos vibe there too.
Will definitely make a video on that too in future. Thank you for the suggestion.

Arthur Conan Doyle John Carter and the Princess of Mars lore explained funny that the author has Conan in his name lol 😆
