To think that we would get to witness Devin discover the true meaning of fun, brings a tear to my eye. Although i mostly concur, as a long-time factorio player, i found this game to be quite shallow, but still enjoyed playing it because the twinstick-shooter element is done quite well and just fun on it's own.
I really enjoyed this. It was a neat buy, different from what I was playing. Hadn't and haven't played factorio. The horde killing was by far the best part of this.
veteran riftbreaker here I got a few points to mention 1. those enemy nests are annoying 2. those get the resource missions are the worst part of the game for me I think it's just filler to pad out the time. I had to push through that bit to get to the end. 3. I see you never got to the plants where you can grow resources which also leads 2 the second ending where the mc decides to stay in order to research how to coexist with the wildlife. (when you activate the rift just wait to let it collapse again.) 4. If you had "fun" with the combat I recommend the dlc as it add a lot of new weapons, enemies, and new towers. The new biomes feel more different than the base game biomes and I think they improved the mission design from the base game. Plus, it's fun to build big bases to defend against big waves now you have all those resources from the base game as the dlcs are more challenging like end game content. (it's still not very hard as you can just make infinite resources on other maps.) 5. the fusion power plant makes plasma it's just the most expensive building in the game. 6. are you gonna try x4 foundations ever again because it got 2 updates since you last played the newest one "improving new player experience."
Now there are some good tips. so there really was another ending! I will totally play x4 more, almost started it last night after seeing the new update. Will finish what I am playing currently and then take a look, been looking forward to it for ages.
With your type of playstyle playing on brutal difficulty would of been fine. The DLC adds alot of story content and more of what you said you wanted. Using 2 power fists is really strong. Weapons become exponentially stronger with each tier, very important to upgrade them.
@@nero91 I'm not sure. Can't you change pre-game difficulty settings to make it last longer. My computer has been broken for a while now so I can't check myself.
I guess a bit - this is more tower defence, creeper world is more like tower *offence*. Played a bit of CW4 a couple years back, still haven't really looked into it seriously though.
I don't really play those as while I like them, I have played them so many times I always feel I should try something new instead. I actually wanted to play total war warhammer 3 again, as I have never done a skaven campaign in any of the warhammer games.
1:52:00 😂you complaining about there not being enough campaign content when you did a bit more than half the content for the base game and none of the DLC.
I think you misunderstood. The problem was the content isn't good enough to sustain how much of it there is. I was saying I wanted the game to be shorter, OR have more variety / less repetition.
Finally, I can fall asleep to some rantin'!

I just wish there a was a fully fledged sandbox mode with all biomes and all research
1:50:00 there is
@@TrueThat16 Oh dang really? since when? What is it called? reinstalling rn
In the Survival game selection screen.
@@TrueThat16 These gamemodes lock me into a biome and I play on a 1:30 hour timer :(
Do I need a DLC to get a free mode?

this looks like Creeper World 4 except enjoyable instead of stupid and grindy

@@OffyDGG I can agree for base game. Does get a bit repetitive.
