Is there really no use for this as a rail line again built back to modern standards? It runs through some areas only tangentially served by Metro and provides a bit of a cross-town route, doesn't appear curvier and slower than the existing Metro lines and would complement them well.
Most of the trail is pretty flat, railroad grades. There are some hills as you approach overpasses of highways and a few spots where small trestles were removed!
Planning on riding on the northern/ western part from Purcellville to Sterling and back, starting somewhere in the middle.
Hello, my wife and I met you two today in Lynchburg. We are now watching your utube vids. Hope to see you on the trails
Indeed! Glad to see you guys started riding bikes. It’s great for your health and riding trails is a relaxing way to spend a day! We love it!

Is this a relatively flat bike trail!

Nice trail, thanks.
What kind of bicycle is that in the 2nd half of the video? It looks interesting. Is it a comfortable ride?
It is my Maxarya recumbent. It is very comfortable. However, note that recumbents do not like hills!
@@BentOnBiking thank you.
