Kai being a bitchy brat, and their loose qualifications for elements.
I just don’t like how a power, object, character, or concept is introduced, but then later on is forgotten. This is the biggest issue I personally see with Ninjago.
I agree, the realm crystal is an important device in Possession and still quite important in Skybound but afterwards they barely/don't reference it. In March of the Oni they then acknowledge it and then have to destroy it!

For example, when Cole fell off the bounty. He could have used an energy dragon, airjitzu'd his way back, or even used the earth punch! But no, make him fall for literally no reason.

Season 5, 7, and 11 come to mind
I hate how the ninjas' powers hop around. I also hate how none of their vehicles seem to be able to last past one season with the exception of the second Bounty.

The whole idea of Kai and Nya’s parents being added into the show is my biggest nitpick. Through the whole series we were told that they were dead and Kai and Nya were “living out their legacy”. The fact that they were randomly added into season 7 with barely any buildup and never return after that bothers me immensely.

Lego Pro972 I agree. Kai does have some big character moments, but not to Lloyd’s level. Lloyd feels like the main character of every season after Season 7, as his contributions are often the ones that matter the most. Even in small battles, Lloyd’s the one that succeeds. I hope in future seasons this is fixed, because Lloyd always seems to be the main character.

i agree that ninjago has a problem with retcons. some are done well and make sense, while others just leave the fandom confused. i also agree that ninjago needs to provide more answers in the show, rather than asking the writers on twitter.
Maybe When The Time Twins Messed With Time, The Reflections Were Altered As An Effected Too. I Mean If The Time Twins Changed The Designs Of The Characters They Could Have Changed The Future As Well.

I think the ultra dragon migrated to the first realm to be old and stuff as they can hop realms the golden dragon is just part of lloyd and it is taken with his gold power the overlord dragon dies the energy dragons are just forgotten I don’t know what happens to the fusion dragons and the ghost dragons are ghosts and die with the preeminent and grief bringer is killed so I think that is all of them except the video game ones

My 5 biggest problems
1)Community. I’ll keep it simple
-Overhypes every set, episode/finale, character, etc.
-Ninjago UA-camrs like to have clickbait like thumbnails and some are really childish and start drama that doesn’t need to be started. Cough Cough *ryananddavydshow*
2)Most seasons rely there endings on cliffhangers, people dying, or a ninja getting super powered up in a way. I like season 8’s ending the best because it’s so unique,yes has a cliff hanger but at least it’s different than the rest of the seasons finales.
3)The Sets
-Expensive
-Clones(bounty)(season 1/2 re-release)(Dragons are basically the same just with different colors)
-They need to stop making new suits every season. It just feels like then trying to empty my wallet when the release new sets with new suits every season.
4)The final battle, tanner basically explains it all
5)What happened to all the ninjas old stuff
-Weapons
-Allies
-Places
-Dragons
-Airjitzu

My problems with Ninjago:
1)Lloyd was overused later in seasons, his arc about him and his father was finished in Possesion, and they shouldn't have brought him back, it makes the arc from 1-5 season look pointless.
2)Oni stuff was just thrown into the lore, without any hint on it. Yes, it explains why Mistake had the tea, and kinda explains why Wu and Garmadon are actually so old, that they have lived for multiple generations, but other then that, it really feels forced
3)Forgetting stuff from prevous seasons. What's up with the realm crystal? There are 16 realms but we have just seen like three or four. There is so much potential in there, maybe even a chance to get Chima back? I loved Chima, sad that it was cancelled by the way. What's up with Lloyd having the Golden Power? It's not like it was taken from him, he was just really weakened.What about trying to get it back?The reflections in Season 5? Jay shoud've had the eyepatch, and Cole should've remained a ghost.
4) Wu never really had any character development. He is just always a mentor. The story now is just the Ninjas fixing mistakes that Wu did in the past. At least Morro was a great villain, but the snake is just bad. OoOOoO i know spinjitzu but its not usual spinjitzu oOOooOoo. He should have either been lost in the Time Rift, or remain in the Oni realm, it would've been better.
5)What was the point of Cole becoming a ghost? There was so much potential in that idea. It would've been amazing to see Cole die, being stuck in the Cursed realm, but then Ninja having to take out the Preeminent out of the sea just to get him back. There was no point in turning him back to a normal person, and just giving him more powers.
6)What happened to Kai and Nya's parents? We still don't know what happened to Zane's father, only that he had died. Sad that we don't see Zane miss his father, even for a few seconds.Other characters are also wasted.
7)What was the point of Season 6? It was basically meaningless, because everything was rewinded, and Nya and Jay were the only ones that remember what happened. The story was good, but it just sets the story back to the end of S5 point.
These thing are actually quite serious. But I still enjoy the show.

I agree with Lloyd being overused but sadly that’s always been the case ever since he became the green ninja except season 4/5/6/7/ but I guess they’re making him the main character now so ok I guess
Oni was not just thrown into the lore they had a season and they explained lots of stuff gave backstory to the first spinjitzu master
In my opinion Lloyd's not only overused in seasons but also feeling or personality fx
When Ray was healed by the time blades they just kinda were ok and that's it and then "oh no Master Wu is gone!? Oh ok Lloyd is now the new master yaaayyyyyy" like hUh
Another one when Dr. Julien(Zane's father) died no there was no Zane being maybe sad or gloomy but no nothing didn't even shed a tear
But when Garmadon was sacrifice himself in s4 we got a whole scene of Lloyd having flashbacks and beating up snakes then later being the one sacrifice Garmadon
Also another thing I have noticed in the later seasons is that Lloyd has no flaws like none and Misako confirmed it by saying "your only problem is your too kind" or something like that I haven't seen the show in a while.
I adore the show it just makes me kinda annoyed by this i really used to like Lloyd but now he is my last on the list even lower than Harumi and i hate her with every bone in my body.

Edit: well finally one year later we got a Cole season and it's one of the best seasons ever, and I changed my opinion about Airjitzu so there is only one problem now and I'll add another one Wich is:
All the seasons except some are just Ninja vs Villains seasons and I hope they get a bit creative like a civil war season or a prequel season etc
That's my only problem with Ninjago other than the Garmadon one

Just get rid of Dareth, I hated him from the moment he came into the show. Just a dumb personality, and not a comic relief. Always got annoyed by him. Jay has the best humour.

Good comic relief characters aren’t always played for comedy and can have their own genuinely dramatic or deep moments.

The Final Battle not being the Final Battle kinda makes since because like the overlord said "When there's light , there should also be darkness" the only way to make a final battle is to make a killer move that'll eliminate both sides at the same time.Evil will just raise because it wants the power the good side has.
When Jay has his time to shine almost everyone forgets about it

my major problem with Ninjago, personally, is that it doesn't seem to know when to end. True, they wanted to end in 2013, but of course the fans pushed them to keep Ninjago going. Don't get me wrong, I like Ninjago. But after a while, you wonder when (or if) it will ever end.
A lot of series never end. Pokemon never ends, Doctor Who never end, Dragon Ball never ends. This kind of series still creates story and backstory.

I definitely think Ninjago shouldn't have ended after season 2, considering they had only scratched the surface in terms or lore, and we would've missed out on all the amazing seasons like season 4, 6, 8, and 14.

in my opinion ninjago has only got 1 major problem at the moment and that's the overesposure of lloyd the last 3 seasons have been about him so the last 3 seasons the other ninja have been pushed to the sidelines

Omg yes i also hate how he’s weak like in earlier seasons he used to be the strongest ninja possessing all the elementals powers i know that in season 3 he got them taken away and gave the last amount of his golden power to the ninjas but like in legacy he has his powers doesn’t that mean he could have used it against the one because the one are scared of the elemental weapons and the gold in them and Lloyd could have been used as a literal walking elemental weapon
The main problem is that it never ends. I mean i am a big fan of ninjago, but they should really start to work on a worthy ending

@@twicethegalo my biggest problem with March of oni is that they copied kung fu panda 3. Lloyd meeting first spinjitzu master and first SM told him come with me or go back and blah blah blah was a copy of kung fu panda 3. And KFP 3 is the worst KFP.

The inconsistency is definitely the biggest thing I have with the show, but even so, I don't absolutely hate it. I spend probably too much time making things up and speculating to fill in plotholes. It's a fun thing, though! I can USUALLY make it work in my head. The ones I can't explain or figure out to drive me a little nuts. Also, Tanner, the sets coming without masks or armor for the ninja used to really bother me, too, but I think I've figured that out, as well. It's actually a very clever (albeit a bit cruel) sale tactic. LEGO marketers KNOW we want the fully armed ninja, and so include them in their most expensive sets. For an aspiring entrepreneur, I can understand why they do what they do, and I can actually forgive them for it. NOT SAYING THAT YOU COULDN'T!! OR THAT YOU WERE BASHING THEM OR ANYTHING!! I MEAN ZERO OFFENSE TO YOU!! I just wanted to maybe give you a reason as to why the sets are the way they are. Thanks for the video! I like these top 10 vids! Keep at it! You're doing great! ;)
The serpentine generals in season 1 definitely deserved more credit like the fangpyre and the hypobrai which the first couple of episodes explained, with the other generals and tribes they only had a couple of scenes where they talked and showed off there abilities
Ending with season 2 does seem very satisfactory. The Overlord is defeated, Garmadon is restored to human form and it’s a happy ending with no cliffhanger. All the ninja have had character focus episodes and it feels like an ensemble cast. Season three onwards tacks on to the mythos in unforeshadowed ways, having to introduce new threats, new weapons and new powers without taking into consideration possible future developments. It falls into the pattern of introducing new weapons or powers and passing them up next season for the new weapons or powers. Season arcs have a character focus on one of the ninja in particular, which can give them more screen time than the other ninja.
I also have a problem with Zane. He used to be one of my favorite characters. As time went on however, he faded into the background. Now he's just "that ninja-robot guy", ignored and forgotten.
More people need to realize this. Zane has become a “use me as a _____ “ kind of character. I remember when the big reveal was that he was a robot. It was supposed to sum up his character, instead if turning into a plot device.

I wasn't bugged by it. These things happen with popularity.
A good example of #3 is from the Skybound season where Jay finds out he’s been adopted and his biological father is a famous actor. It’s only brought up as a plot point for a couple of episodes, and the only real impact is that Jay using advice from a book on winning over girls he finds at his father’s house ends up making things worse. His biological father is never revisited, and in Day of the Departed he’s spending time with Ed and Edna instead. Due to the reset button ending they don’t know Jay knows he’s adopted unlike the aborted timeline.
I can very much agree with the Kai/Lloyd spotlight problem
(I mean Kai is my favorite ninja but he is like Ice cream, too much of it makes me sick)

2. Season 7-10 are the oni arcs respectively, and Lloyd was meant to be the main focus
3. Making a few episodes dedicated to the ninjas parents would retcon a whole bunch of things
4. Zane got his power from the elemental master of ice, who had a flashback in season 9.

Tbh a lot of people are being annoyed of S8->S10 that they were all a Lloyd focus but I mean they were more of the first Spinjitzu master's family focus not just Lloyd , it was pretty fun to watch but that's just my opinion

One problem I have is that every time the ninja get a powerful skill the creators take it away for no reason fearing that the ninja can become to powerfull
At the time it was called the The Final Battle because it was going to be the final season but now it's no longer on the Final Battle now it's called the Ultimate Battle
Ninjago just has some nitpicks like what happened to the hands of time and how did master Wu survive, but I'm sure they'll be solved in the upcoming seasons
Pretty much Ninjago has a lot of loose ends and this mostly comes from the writers removing or changing elements of the show and not explaining or going all the way through. Examples would be elemental powers, and airjitzu. They need to either make a definite reason for change, or a fresh restart. Not slowly changing it throughout the show randomly.
#7 I mean... Its pretty obvious why this is - LEGO wants you (the consumer) to buy as many of the sets as possible (unless you buy the figs online). In the new wave you would need to buy at least 3 sets to get all versions of Lloyd for example (one with the regular hoodie, one with the green hoodie + flames and the FS set with the gold hoodie and green flames).
What I have noticed is that the ninja / villains do actually pop up in the LEGO Ninjago Magazine a few months after the wave is released, meaning you can get the ninja with all the gear if you are patient enough. Or you just buy the online like I do.
It is rare that I find a set that I want to buy since the build is either not to my liking or I simply want a few of the figures included. The new land bounty set has an excellent minifig selection, but the bounty itself is not what I am looking for, so I will get them online instead. It saves money and space at home.

I’m sooo happy u made this don’t get me wrong I love ❤️ ninjago but their are way too many inconsistencies
The logic doesn't make sense have the time. When I say logic, I am meaning science and other decisions.....
My huge problem is that how did Chen complete the Anacondrai spell if he didn’t have the elemental powers of water, Time or wind
I never understanded why Chen wanted to be an Anacondrai when he could dominate Ninjago with his staff.
The ray and Maya thing is messed up like imagine in season 3 if garmadon a mistake if you spell it like that were just taken out.
In season 6, my personal nitpicks on Ninjago was that it felt like it’d been changed, all that hate on Jay, character changes for the most part, and not to mention... the ninja fan girls.
Ninjago problems:
1. Missing or forgotten characters: Pythor, Clouse, Time Twins, Maya and Ray come to mind
2. Animation not suited to the show (cough cough season 11)
3. Filler episodes
4. Underwhelming antagonists: Iron Baron, Aspheera, Omega Oni

My nitpick is Lloyd's redesign. At least the other ninja got to keep their original voice actors, but it's like Lloyd got replaced with a generic mc. I miss his old voice and personality.

Ok so you did a good job mentioning side characters. Here’s a side character I think that non of you have realized until she got more screen time.
Nya smith. Kai’s younger sister. She was a side character from the start of the pilot episode when the skeletons kidnapped her etc. she didn’t get much screen time or mention until she was revealed to be the Samaria X warrior later on in seasons 1-2 and then she got more screen time in seasons 5-6 as the water ninja after she was shown to have some value and support etc towards the ninja team. 😊

The biggest problem is logic and continuity. They bend the rules so many times.
I think the concept of elemental powers are REALLY confusing! Like first it's the golden weapons, then Lloyd gives it to them and then they are all descendants from elemental masters so shouldn't they be able to use their powers at the begging of the season?
I hate how jay has gone back to being a comic relief character. Obviously he’s always gonna be the “funny” one but I’d like to see that more serious and sentimental side of him come out more like in season 6. I feel like he should get another focus season where we can find out more about his past and he can finally get the spotlight without it completely being forgotten.
I also think cole should get a focus season because it’s long overdue. Especially since I feel like cole has started getting a lot of character development but I still feel like there’s a lot more to him.
This last one is definitely an unpopular opinion but I feel like jaya is just an annoying relationship now. It’s really one sided and I feel like jay is the only one really putting effort into it and being affectionate while nya seems really detached. Idk I just feel like nyas character is just going down hill and so is the whole jaya ship
Season 12 had a somewhat Cole centered half-season(the second half, starting with episode 16) and his mother, seeing what she had done for the munce and geckles
I think the writers ran out of ideas so they threw a season with bad comedy and 10 reallyyy short episodes
I’m tired of how a character can’t freakin’ ACTUALLY die. And never return. (I know that sounded kinda harsh but still, plus what i meant were the side characters not the others like Cole’s mom)
One of my biggest issues is how the powers are never consistent. Like how when Nya first uses her water abilities she can just summon water with her hands, but later on she can't summon water, only control existing water. Or how Lloyd controls the 4 elements of spinjitzu, but later on he just uses some sort of green energy. Another one also being that Kai and Nya never use that giant fire and water dragon ever again, which also goes for the elemental dragons.
Season 8+ just ignores a bit too much of the old seasons.

Biggest Ninjago problems: Ninja forgetting airjitzu and how Lloyd was born when he was introduced Garmadon was already evil and banished for decades if not longer.
Lloyd is actually 30.Due to the oni blood he was looking like 10 in season 1.

I agree on that last part. It makes many of the subsequent seasons feel like they have much lower stakes in comparisson which is kind of distracting. Like, I do like Chen, but going from the literal god of evil and darkness to some random goofy cult leader is just such a step down in terms of stakes.

One of the things I hate about ninjago is the fact that they never touch on a characters trauma or emotions.
Like Kai with having aquaphobia, and literally thinking he's worthless and expendable (he doesnt say it himself but like.. he said he should have died rather than Zane in season 3/4 so like..)
They never talk about characters fears at all and they never really bring up when characters belittle themselves and never.. give them comfort..

It’s possible season 7 affected the reflections due to the whole time travel thing, just my opinion. Also the full mask thing is definitely a way to get money. Cuz they’ll sell Lloyd with no mask in a $10 small set but then full suit/armor Lloyd will be in the final battle set which is probably $50-75
I'm kinda sad they don't now because it's hard to get the ninjas hair pieces
One of my least favorite things is that Cole sometimes doesn’t get enough screen time and he is always the one with whom something bad happens or happened
I remember when season 2 ended and there was said to only be a season 3. It broke my heart then, but this aged well lmao
The final battle really has no more consequences at all.
1. The Overlord came back instantly
2. Garmadon was turned good, then brought back 4 arms and all
3. Lloyd lost his golden power immediately
in my opinion, creating a real final season explaining that the final battle didn't occurred yet will be cool
I think Cole said something in Season 8 like "hey Rumi, I guess we are going to be...roomies" my sisters and I laughed at how bad that joke was

I dunno if it’s just me but Lloyd slowly becomes more independent and doesn’t rely on the ninja as much. Like in season 1/2 when he’s a kid he always jokes around with them then when garmadon is redeemed he more cares about him and isn’t as close with the ninja as he used to be

Like number 7, I also think that each set with the ninja should include all armour, the hoods/masks and also the hair pieces, because personally, I’d like to be able to switch between the masks and the hair when they’re on my display case, like have the masks next to them with the hair piece on. That’s just me though.
Also, most of these are really accurate, and I get where you’re coming from. Especially number 9 for me.

Something crazy that I think about is how if Zane never died in season 3, the ninja would never attend the tournament, Chen and Clouse would have never gone to the cursed realm, therefore never releasing Morro, and Clouse wouldn’t be able to get the teapot of tyran (or wouldn’t have a need for it)

My biggest problem with ninjago is that Kai was the first ninja to get captured in skybound and almost everyone has Kai as their favourite

He saved the ninja multiple times in season 5, without him they wouldn't have gotten the sword of sanctuary and if he never became a ghost, THE PREEMINENT WOULD BE HIGH IN POWER

I totally agree about the final battle thing. It’s always bothered me too but I just think of it being the final battle between good and evil in Ninjago.... not the other realms. Like sure The Overlord and Garmadon and even Pythor return after that but pythor isn’t really evil as much as he is selfish and the overlord along with garmadon were resurrected so it’s kinda a loop hole I guess. But Morro, Nadakhan, Iron Baron, and The Oni are all from different realms so they’re “final battle” didn’t happen yet. As for Chen and the time twins, Chen wasn’t really pure evil he was more like pythor, just selfish. Krux just didn’t really have a motivation besides power which I guess makes him just “selfish” like. Chen and Pythor, and of course Acronix was outside of the timeline so there’s that. Yang was just afraid of being forgotten, so while he may have done some bad things he wasn’t really “evil” per say. And finally for Harumi, she obviously wreaked a lot of havoc but we saw during her end that she’s really a good person at heart, meaning she’s not truly evil at heart like say the Overlord or the resurrected garmadon. That’s how I think of it at least.
