Glad you spoke about The Art of Sketching book that James Gurney and Tom Kinkade wrote. I have this book in my possession. It is available on line but you do have to dig. It's helped me with my "documentary" sketching, shedding light on the urban style movement it's become today. I find it to be an invaluable manual that gets you right in their shoes with honest first hand impressions on what to expect when you take your tools out of the studio.
What a great interview I have only been doing watercolor painting for about a year and I love James Gurney. I just had his watercolor easel made and I'm so excited to get out and try to do some Plein Air painting with it.
So lovely to listen to James Gurney speak, as usual! ....a few friendly thoughts for Eric: no matter which politics you choose, if you choose to include politics in your business, you are guaranteed to offend a large % of the people who would otherwise purchase your products.
