Love and appreciate this comment. Thank you. I think most Jazz/Fusion guys love Hendrix. I’d even argue to say Jazz/Rock wouldn’t be Jazz/Rock without Hendrix. Miles Davis, John McLaughlin, Tony Williams all were inspired to add elements of what Jimi was doing into Jazz. That’s totally where I’m still coming from today. ✊🏾✌🏾❤️

Nice jam. I thought that shirt at first was the cover of the Bennie Maupin "Moonscape" album (1978). Of course he played on Headhunters and with Herbie for years so close enough
Yea. That’s Bennie… about 4 or 5 years earlier though.

@@RocknJazzer Thanks for adding that. Weldon was a good friend and mentor of mine in St.Albans and an important ‘Jamaica Kat’.
@@Jamaicafunk Whoa! I had a feeling you may have known him or at least crossed paths. Someone made a docu film about him in 2019 called "Digging for Weldon Irvine" but it seems to only been shown at some film festivals and not online, all there are is trailers to see. Was made by film director Victorious DeCosta who I think is bklyn based. If you know him please ask him how we all can see it or when it will be on streaming. I think he said licensing was too costly tho. Do you know Lenny White too by chance? He played with Weldon, and is in some of the trailers for the Weldon film
