    Interesting System, love the removable motors and how modular it is.
    How is it powered? and recharged? wonder if you can use other larger battery system to keep it powered.

      Hi Michael. The kits on IGG are powered by (and come with) a power brick, but you can use V-Mount batteries with a D-Tap to DC Jack lead (Thats what Matt is using). The system can run for days on a V-Mount battery.

    Nice video again ‘vetzak’ 😉 Looks like a solid piece of gear. Too heavy for my use, but still fun to watch these gear videos.

      Hi Arjen. We're curious as to how much you think it weighs and what is a good weight for you?

    • @Natureviewmovie
      @Natureviewmovie 2 роки тому

      @@axiiio pff, I guess a few kg’s? Looking at the size? I do most of my (Timelapse)photography either on foot or by bike, so I like to have it as light as possible, preferably we’ll under 1kg.

      @@Natureviewmovie A pancake, receiver and motor weighs in at about 800g and you can hold it in one hand (so will fit in your backpack easily). You just need a battery pack and you've got a single axis. I don't think that you will find anything under 4-5kg (total) as a Pan-Tilt-Slide & focus system that will be useful out in the bush or in a studio. If you know of something we'd really like to know!

      @@axiiio Yes, I did check the weight (after my guess), it’s less as I expected. At the moment I use a syrp genie mini II pan/tilt-set, which is just over 500g and gives me a two axis motion. Most likely far less stable as your set up (and no focus system).
      But that’s me, mainly looking at weight and portability. It does look like a really nice piece of equipment and I hope it’ll be a great success.

      @@Natureviewmovie Yeah, we're concentrating on bulletproof reliability (all metal and composite construction, metal connectors etc) and flexibility for videographers, time-lapse fans and stop motion producers. That mean a big range of motion (high & slow speed) and flexibility around configurations. Weight was a key goal though. I don't think that there is any system that can go as fast as axiiio and weighs as little as it does. There are systems that can travel as fast, but they are way more expensive and much heavier. Maybe we'll bring out an all in one that's not as flexible and lighter for people who want to travel. What do you think?

    Very interesting and those motors are so quite! But yes, as you said definitely a slider not for hiking or travel light eh eh

    Glad you got this shot and uploaded so quickly :-) Me, I love a good (relevant to me) gear review, so many thanks. This is a hugely impressive system and, as you mention, unusually good value (especially when compared to comparable kit, and double-especially when you consider the massive crowd-funding discount). I wish them the very best, and I hope that they vastly exceed their funding goal.

    Looks like a very good bit of kit. Well done to the developers 👍🏽. As you say Matt it is a bit pricey and probably not for the amateur timelapse photographer like me. But I still like to see what’s out there.

    This doesn’t look sturdy enough to use in windy environments. Mostly a table top setup I’d say. Doesn’t look elegant and I’m not a fan of the cables. It is hard to tell, but can you pan it more than 360?

    • @axiiio
      @axiiio 2 роки тому +3

      Hi Jordan. The slider Matt is using is not the slider we are offering on IGG. The slider we are offering is stiffer than the one we sent him. We've used the system in some windy environments out in the Aussie bush with an iFootage S1 slider traveling vertically doing some timelapses of sunsets/sunrises. You can easily adapt the system to use on other rod based sliders. We are working on a much heavier duty slider, which weighs about as much as the one Matt has and is infinitely extendable. You can take the end-stops off the Pan-Tilt head and pan further than 360 degrees if you want.
