The way she held out and timed the word "brave" until the Blue Angels flew over, that is a mastery that you cannot teach. That is a moment! This song is NOT EASY. The fact that she did such an amazing job is testament to her talent.
It's a great performance, no doubt about that. But it mostly takes great planning, preparation and incredible skill from the fighter pilots to fly over the stadium exactly at the right moment performing a procedure called 'time over target'. I love her voice and it's taken me awhile to warm up to her lyrics. She writes amazing pop music and is so intelligent. This was shaky but I do like certain parts of it.

I must have been living in a bubble and please excuse my ignorance. This is the first performance I ever saw from Lady Gaga. Before I just heard a lot of criticism about her dressing and how she was a Madonna wannabe. This performance just made me realize how foul the press can be. Up until today I still watch this video and tears come out of my eyes. It's so true that a book can't be judged by the cover. I opened the book and found many interesting chapters on Lady Gaga: with Tony Bennett when I immediately realized that she is not just any singer she is also a performer who tells the story through melodies with the timbre of her beautiful voice to make us feel what she is interpreting. No wonder my former classmate Steve Kortyka enjoys every performance with you. And when I heard "Shallow" you just knocked me off my feet. Shes like a more successful T-Pain, they can both belt out several notes that will leave you speechless, however, T-Pain relied too much on a device and Gaga too much on being sensational. Regardless of her political affiliations, their is no doubt she is the best female vocalist of the last 20 years, hands down. It’s not even close. It’s shocking how much better she is than so many of her so called “peers”. Shes’s just in a different league altogether. More like an entirely different spectrum that’s beyond comparison.

Lady Gaga has the best performance, extremely clear speech, her voice literally singing with the music, and her voice sounds so good that it sounds as the best match for the anthem. If I listened to the anthem on a recording and if I had to choose which one is the 'original' this will be it!
