Kia is a sponsor of the NBA
Hyundai/Kia seems to be having their best time now
아직이요.현대기아차는 토요타처럼 세계1위 안할겁니다.1위는 미국차들이 해야죠.2위가 최종목표입니다.계속 도전해야 합니다
Hyundai has been on a roll since the late teens... the onset of Genesis, Ioniq and their N division placed them way ahead of many brands.
Kia and Hyundai are really a couple of steps ahead
Hit or miss. Some have been game changers but some are just plain ugly. They already shook the car design game and many manufacturers have now caught up.
They finally designed cars like we're living in the future
The telluride was the only good kia or hyundai design since like 2015 lol
I like this new looks better than the previous one 🎉
The stylish, futuristic, convenient and elegant Kia Sportage. Can't wait.😊
Kia and Hyundai are always the fastest to refresh/redesign their cars. Each individual design has such a quick turnover
한국인들의 빨리빨리 정신,성격탓도 있습니다.안좋은건 계속 개선하려는 정신
Hyundai keeps it moving. They don't let their designs get stale. At least, as traditional in the automotive industry, they use the same platform for about a decade, give or take. It takes millions, if not billions, to develop new platforms so frequent design changes help keep every generation fresh.
I actually like the "new" front more, but the rear lights look goofy. The old ones wouldve fit the new front much better. Oh, and the new wheels are awful.
New one seems more structured as compared to previous organic style.
Do think new design is to align with other in their line-up which has that vertical headlamp configuration.
Agreed
6:16 Time has certainly gone by quite fast as the fifth generation of the Kia Sportage was officially unveiled in 2021 and so by all technicality, we're already in the middle of its production run and so the facelifted model will likely span from 2025 to like 2027 or 2028 since most car generations these days seem to span 7 or 8 years. I for one like both the pre-facelift and the facelifted Sportage since it is still unlike any other SUV in the segment along with its sibling vehicle, the Hyundai Tuscon.
I own a 23 Sportage, and am considering trading it in for a 26.. I think all the styling changes are improvements over the 23!
I have the ‘25 and really love it. I’ve only had it for one month. So happy with it and like it better than the ‘26. They are terrific SUV’s
I agree the previous look was better and more interesting. The DRL and tail light signatures were both better...
Love the new Amber DRL ❤🔥
glad they redesigned the interior.
I love the boomerang DRL's.
It looks horrible
Yeah I kinda liked the front face on the old one much better 😅
Feels like a change for the sake of change once again.
bro i really really hate the steering wheel for gods sakes
They took away what made the prior model unique with this refresh. It looks like a Cadillac from certain angles now.
The steering wheel looks like an omelette and the boxy wheels are just plain horrible, no matter the size. The only improvement they made was getting rid of the piano black.
2 spoke steering wheels only works for ultra luxury in my opinion
I agree wasn't Kia sportage just updated a year or two ago
Kia and hyundai are a weird brand. They make stylish cars for sure. But they change it so much lol.
I like the styling theme of Kia in general. Trying to slap the square nose on a CUV that otherwise has a lot of curves kinda looks tacked-on. It's not terrible, but I don't think the rest of the car particularly matches the new front end. Glad they got rid of the piano black on the console - we have a 2023 and that would be the main change we'd have suggested inside. It's a great car though. We get 33 mpg on long road trips and have had about 22,000 trouble free miles so far.
I got my gloss back interior vinyled with a matte layer of rosewood finish and I never had any issue since.
I also applied a matte protector over both the screens to reduce glare and resist fingerprints.
I also changed the seats to be more cushiony and viola almost all problems I had with it are gone.
I mostly agree that the more boxy refreshed front doesn’t fit so well with the rest of the vehicle which isn’t square and boxy. They did the same thing with the Hyundai Tucson refresh.
I like both the old and new. I’m just glad they didn’t do anything outrageous and crazy. It’s a tasteful update.
That the issue with Kia/Hyundai, it’s like fast fashion clothes. Wear it for a season and then it’s out of style and you need to upgrade already. They don’t have a timeless designs, they’re so stylized that in a year or two it already looks dated.
That's better, not buying the same car during 10 or 15 years 😬
@ the key is not to buy a car for 10 years. Having to be continuously in monthly payments, never to have a car paid off is a nightmare. Even if paid off buying 3 cars ($35k x 3.33= $115k), vs buying one timeless car for 10 years ($35k). Brands that last 10 years and look timeless are a gem. Pay it off and save the rest for maintenance, retirement, any other goals.
@@ChilledNurse the average length of car ownership in the US is 8-12 yrs regardless how often car makers change their design.
@@ChilledNurse I mean... speaking of the design, buying a 2025 model that looks the same as a 2018 model 🥴
Old man.
The previous one looked great, very sporty. The new one looks more minivany a bit too similar to the carnival. The back is a clear downgrade
I agree with pretty much everything you said. I would love to swap out all the piano black out of my 23 Hybrid for the new interior material/color. One thing I noticed is the mode knob is gone? How do you switch modes? I ask because I twist that little knob back and fourth between Smart and Sport mode constantly. You didn't mention the change in the gearing. I hope the new gearing fixes the hesitancy problem when pulling out onto a roadway, or when you are breaking to a slow stop and then step back on the accelerator. It's really bad and dangerous. That is why I always use Sport mode in those situations. Anyway, great thoughts.
Thank you
Just me but I prefer the 2026 refresh. I see a lot of manufactures are moving towards the more boxy look for the SUV face.
The new one is nice. its more static which fits their new styling but the old one had a very unique and hard to pull off front design yet it worked. shame its gone.
COlors available???
It makes the front look too heavy, given the creases, bends and overall silhouette of the rest of the car. I don’t mind the graphics in the taillights. The material of the centre console - at least in this top of the line model - seems better than the cheap black plastic used previously.
This is a car for people who are easily impressed by bells and whistles.
KIA is the official car sponsor for the NBA.
This design will age like milk.
The best looking Sportage is the 2011 one.
The 2022 one looks like a modern reading on the Fiat Multipla, and this new one looks really weird too.
New VW 2025 Tiguan is a good rival to this! Please review the new generations of VW too!
steering wheel is one of the top reasons why im not buying this, guess ill try my luck with the new 2026 Rav4 or CR-V
Get the ‘25. I just bought mine and love it and the RAV4 and CRV aren’t near as modern looking especially the interior. I agree the ‘26 Sportage steering wheel is too boxy.
It's cuz Kia sponsor NBA MVP
What is a better design than 2026 this 2026 is really got some going. Let’s take a look at this 2026 that you are announcing.
The two spoke steering wheel looks ancient
Wow, no fingerprint scanner to start the vehicle like the refreshed Hyundai Tucson has? The Tucson is the clear winner here-this new Sportage just doesn't impress, especially the interior. That new steering wheel is awful!
The Prefacelift has a better interior. But that facelift mid console materials are better. I hate piano black plastic bombs of mid consoles. They can put those into areas you don't touch but no the mid console. Thats like worst spot to do so. So I guess its kinda better in the facelift. I also think its better to get rid of those interior vertical ac vents. The more linear one makes the car feel more clean inside. Also I would like to see the Steering wheel of Kias to be a little thicker. But that might just be me and my Inner BMW Driver instinct.
I prefer this refresh of the Sportage much more than that boomerang sort of style from the last design. I truly did not like it. This new design seems to fit more in the Kia lineup
Kia is a big NBA sponsor. I despise when the indicator lights and brake lights are the same 😡 seems lazy
Nice to see Kias gone all in on copying Cadillacs headlight design.
This is a pretty dumb comment...
VW TIGUAN PLEASE
I thought he already did that......at for the European debut
@@Stefin770the US version is slightly different from that one but that’s true
I think the straight lines of the DRLs get skewed from the body curves. It's a curvy car with straight lines, which makes the lines themselves look curved.
For me, it's a miss.
If Kia made a GT version of this with atleast 350 horsepower, I'd trade my Elantra N for it... even before knowing what the next generation of that car will be. 💯 This doesn't look that bad actually.
Nothing like a good chamfer
So far only the Telluride remains non entirely redesigned. It's still brand new for Toyota standards lol they need to catch up to the Koreans.,
I’m seriously thinking about trading my 2023 Tucson Limited for a 2026 Sportage Turbo Hybrid XLine…
The rear kinda looks like the 2014-2018 Jeep Cherokee 🤔
Agreed
They definitely forced it with this one.
Their new design language meshed well with the Sorento face-lift.
Looks horrible here
It's me or they're aiming to the American brands style?
Steering wheel is ugly and out of place enough for me to not want to buy the Sportage
I like watching movies.
definitely ungly
its so ugly they had to do a emergency facelift
That front end is hideous
Refresh more like ruined
Kia ruined its front end
Toyota should be embarrassed! 😂 they’re lighting design is 20 years behind.
i like kia and hyundai, but im not so sure about that..
You need to be more objective rather than subjective in your car reviews…
Another boring monotone black interior…give me a break!
Disappointing
Other car makers should be learning from Hyundai/Kia. There are too many uninspiring lookalike SUVs out there.
another boring, repetitive suv design. im so sick of it. people, stop buying suv's please🙏
Sportage is one of the most “unique” designs in its segment in my opinion, vs. something like the RAV4 or Equinox, which you see basically every 30 seconds going down the road and all in the same colors (white, black, silver, grey). If you want a compact crossover and want to be a little “different” from the crowd, Sportage would be at the top of my list.
Both are nasty ugly
I don't mind either
Are we looking at the same car?
Why are people wathing this ignits videos? Reading from a website, knows nothing about design and so on.
Still ugly
