My middle school show choir did that too but it was only 8th grade and I was in 7th 😢😢 but at least that year we did step in time and I got to wear my Newsies hat to school because my choir director said to wear a Newsies hat if u have one 😎
She is like me because I was so shy when I was younger and I did my first show in 6th grade with me church and now I love acting and I am planning to be in show choir and choir and theater and I goof off all the time and I am a social butterfly now. Not to mention my school did seize the day in jr. High too so wow. I love her so much and I wanto be just like her when I get older even be on Broadway which is my dream so yeah she is the way love her.

It wasn't "messed up" it was simply changed. You realise most of the creative team worked on the film (Alan Menken, Jack Feldman, etc). They changed it for the show. You know, it really is okay for the stage show to be a little bit different from the film it's based on.
