I personally cleared $230k of debt going aggressive in the other markets. Right now the markets are crazy but there are still hidden opportunities therein. Having monitored my portfolio performance return huge six figures from the last 2 quarters of last year, I have learned why the market will remain a money den for those who know where to look.
Times are weird. The US dollar is losing purchasing power due to inflation while strengthening against other currencies and assets. The stock market, real estate, crypto AND precious metals are down because people are fleeing to the "safety" of the dollar. where else can we put our investment money? I can't afford to see my savings of around $320,000 turn to dust in front of my eyes.

However , wish to highlight some insights that I analysed at the back of your analysis - If we stretch the time period to 5 years , Gold seems to win the race ! In 2017 , Gold prices were ₹28k and as you mentioned , its now trading at ₹52k. Thats almost 80% return over the period of 5 years mate. And if I would have bought sovereign bonds , I would have made extra 2.5% interest annually. Since everyone , including Reserve banks across the globe , run after Gold when the chips are down , would you recommend us to buy gold now given the global economic situation ? Thanks in advance.

@ankur why was 19th Jan 2021 taken as starting point. Take September 2021 and equity returns would be negative. Totally depends on reference date. (playing with behavioural biases)
I INVEST 25% of my income and divide it into following for most balanced return: 10% - Emergency Funds (FD) (5%) 10% - Gold Bonds (2.5% + Gold Appreciation) 30% - Index Funds (10 - 12%) 30% - Large Cap Mutual Funds (12 - 15%) 20% - High Risk Mid Cap Smallcases (20-30%)

@@abhishek7271 I have my emergency parked in a liquid debt fund. 5% in cryptocurrencies (sort of a gamble honestly although just Bitcoin and Ethereum) 15% in US equities (only Apple, Google, Amazon with equal weightage) 35% in large cap consistent compounders 25% in small cap with very high roe & roce, yoy increase in sales and profits and very low d/e ratio 20% in mid cap segment leaders I plan on doing lumpsums in corporate bonds and REITs after about 5 years. Mostly A and AA rated for better returns than AAA but also with a lot of safety. In about 10 years, if the crypto thing doesn't work out, I'll look into startups. There are forums like Tyke, Leadoff, Grip who let you invest in startups and invoice discounting assets. Just to diversify, you know.

So companies like Wipro, Hero MotoCorp, L&T will be included but they will pull your overall return down to around 12% CAGR. Instead, if you invest directly in consistent compounders of nifty, like Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, Divi's Lab, you can easily get a 24% CAGR over a period of 12 years. If you consider 1 lakh investment in both cases, nifty fund makes it 4 lakh after 12 years, whereas the consistent compounders make it 16 lakh in the same amount of time.

For the salaried people, If we invest in stocks only to get high returns then how can we save our tax? Now if I check the returns(stocks returns - tax payed) it is approx 10-15%. This returns we can get from PPF or ELSS mutual funds.

Not sure if already mentioned in the video but everyone should be aware that the time period considered here is part of a BULL run. While in the long run, equity would always give you good returns but if you are investing today based on this video, please note 18 months from now your position may be up OR down in case of BEAR market. Bottom line being do not expect the bull return to always continue and do not consider this period as benchmark for future returns.

@ankur why was 19th Jan 2021 taken as starting point. Take September 2021 and equity returns would be negative. Totally depends on reference date. (playing with behavioural biases)

I INVEST 25% of my income and divide it into following for most balanced return:
10% - Emergency Funds (FD) (5%)
10% - Gold Bonds (2.5% + Gold Appreciation)
30% - Index Funds (10 - 12%)
30% - Large Cap Mutual Funds (12 - 15%)
20% - High Risk Mid Cap Smallcases (20-30%)
If you aren't at least 45 years old, this is literally the worst way possible to invest your money.
@@Prim0rdiaL7 actually I believe in balanced theme as I already seen too much loss in direct equity when I was 50% active in equity segment, so for gambling person like me and all shortcut people this safe returns is much better then losing more 😅

I have my emergency parked in a liquid debt fund.
5% in cryptocurrencies (sort of a gamble honestly although just Bitcoin and Ethereum)
15% in US equities (only Apple, Google, Amazon with equal weightage)
35% in large cap consistent compounders
25% in small cap with very high roe & roce, yoy increase in sales and profits and very low d/e ratio
20% in mid cap segment leaders
I plan on doing lumpsums in corporate bonds and REITs after about 5 years. Mostly A and AA rated for better returns than AAA but also with a lot of safety.
In about 10 years, if the crypto thing doesn't work out, I'll look into startups. There are forums like Tyke, Leadoff, Grip who let you invest in startups and invoice discounting assets. Just to diversify, you know.
What's the difference btw index fund of nifty 50 and large cap company? Aren't both are same
@@prakharshukla7191 a nifty fund would have all the 50 companies with the same weightage as the index. So companies like Wipro, Hero MotoCorp, L&T will be included but they will pull your overall return down to around 12% CAGR. Instead, if you invest directly in consistent compounders of nifty, like Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, Divi's Lab, you can easily get a 24% CAGR over a period of 12 years.
If you consider 1 lakh investment in both cases, nifty fund makes it 4 lakh after 12 years, whereas the consistent compounders make it 16 lakh in the same amount of time.

For the salaried people, If we invest in stocks only to get high returns then how can we save our tax? Now if I check the returns(stocks returns - tax payed) it is approx 10-15%. This returns we can get from PPF or ELSS mutual funds.

Not sure if already mentioned in the video but everyone should be aware that the time period considered here is part of a BULL run. While in the long run, equity would always give you good returns but if you are investing today based on this video, please note 18 months from now your position may be up OR down in case of BEAR market. Bottom line being do not expect the bull return to always continue and do not consider this period as benchmark for future returns.
