Hi Johnny G, that Pack Up All Rags and Go was a great song. Two things, Joe Morris had been recording for Atlantic since 1947, as an orchestra. Second, Billy Mitchell became a lead singer for the Clovers in 1953 when John “Buddy” Bailey was drafted after recording Crawlin’/Yes, It’s You on Atlantic 989. Billy’s lead for the early 50’s was on Your Cash Ain’t Nothing But Trash, In The Morning Time. But before him was Charlie White on Good Lovin/Lovey Dovey/Little Mama/I Got My Eyes On You/I Confess.

The Four Buddies releases are rare to get especially on 45 rpm records. Even though Herman Lubinsky was one of the first Indies to press 45 rpm records.
