  • [SUBSCRIBE, LIKE and COMMENT] The Collector Car Guru is behind the wheel of a 1991 Subie Sambar Try Dias II Super Charger and takes it where few stock JDM Kei vans and trucks can go: the freeway. See why the funky little belt-driven supercharger and the cool Sun Sun roof turn this Sambar into the ultimate microvan.

If you haven't heard of it, check out the Subaru Domingo/ sumo / Libero. Its the same as this but with a 1.2L engine and big safty bumpers

It took me almost 3 years, but I found one last week and jumped on it. Coming direct from Japan. 1996 with 69km, glass tops, 5 speed, supercharger, A/C & power windows.
      Did you find one ?

I want to see how this compares to the Subaru Domingo with the 1.2L engine. I think the Sumo would get much better MPG at freeway speeds because of the lower rpm

Debating on getting an automatic or mechanical Sambar super charger van 4WD . Would it be worth getting the automatic since it’s has a super charge

Do not go automatic, because the ECVT automatics are very troublesome and prone to failure. (The two types of common failures can either be minor or very major.)
