Join us on a little trip. Today's destination: the future ... as it was envisioned nearly a century ago.
Why are we travelling back(wards) to the future?
Because, ironically, the future looked best in the past. Somewhere along the way, we allowed the future to become a rather unappealing, disturbing notion; a bleak, uninviting place. We must restore the future to its former glory; transform it back to an exciting, inspirational prospect. We must, to paraphrase a popular catchphrase, Make Future Great Again.
'Immaculata' was written for Livia Pandur's same-titled 2016 play.
