Great technique Glen! I'm going to explore this in my own playing. A gift from you to the piano community.

Nice lesson on this foundational principle of supplying a harmonically (and rhythmically) satisfying bass part with the left hand. This is similar to how I offer this to my students, and it's a good way to develop confidence fairly quickly. Thanks for posting this, and blessings onward!

Thank you Daniel. It's especially nice to get a compliment from another piano teacher.

Haven't seen a video of yours in a while, great content as usual. I quit watching Jazz videos and decided to learn basic techniques first. I'm using John Thompson and am almost halfway through Volume 2. I'm also using Moulin de Ville Opus 100, and my piano teachers are happy that I've worked on basics. There is a Waltz in Thompson 2 and I keep coming back to it since I want to get the left hand down as my metronome. This course was helpful for that.
I don't know if it was the camera angle but your left shoulder looks like it might be causing you some problems. I have a video on exercises for the low back but also techniques for the Upper Extremities. The subscapular technique might help you out. Either you can do it on yourself, as long as you really cut your nails. Or I would suggest to contact a baseball team and find a trainer that works on the pitcher.

Sounds like a smart move to get back to basics. It will help you feel more solid as you evolve into more advanced things.
