Given that he never makes a comeback after this one episode, and given how big an impact he made in it, that Alistair Wesley is the most underrated character of the show.
POI had such amazing writing--These were Persons to be scared of. These are the men to be afraid of. They don't send someone to kill you, that's gauche. When you are on their radar, all bets are off. One can only hope a Mr. Reese is there to protect you.
sometimes the return of a guest character depends on the actor's availabilty. Perhaps that was the reason they weren't able to bring him back - John's last line seems like the writers were entertaining the idea when they shot this scene.
@@Ghost-Mom The Voice's return was great - mostly because it showed the "dark Harold" - when he looked shocked when Elias blew up the car, Elias just said "c'mon Harold.. you had to know I was going to do something like this.."
Such a wasted opportunity, I surely would've preferred him returning instead of the Voice guy, he was completely useless and didn't really offer much, plus no one ever saw him to feel some kind of connection.
Carter had a chose when John lost the baby. Carter knew then you really can't go back, trying to save the Don's, John had to come back and safe her. John really didn't want her to go any further. But Carter had her own secret, she knew then, that Harold had the machine. Carter already put her son in danger, and John was there to save him. She also knew that John couldn't always be there. Being a cop is one thing, but putting someone in danger, just because you want to know more! Chirp
@@demonix321You know when you stay something like that the first thing most people think is you're racist. Carter was a million times better than Zoe.
Nah he was looking for a light in the person and Zoe was not that light he wad drawn to; sexually yes but real intimacy no. That's why he would hit it and quit it. She would be the one begging and prying into his life not the other way around. Carter had the light John was looking for.
Jim wasn't sure but kinda knew what Carter was hinting about with regard to the machine. Carter always wanted to know how Jim/Fitz got their victims/perps. This is why Jim explained it the way he did when he said "The people who cared about us are all gone, but you still have your son who would be a threat to you having more knowledge about this thing we are involved in." I believe Jim REALLY wanted to tell Carter but wanted to keep her protected! He thought Kara was dead, so he really didn't know who the SHE was!
Great performance, great actor
RIP Julian Sands
A little sad the British assassin never came back to finish that drink or play another match.
This show had an amazing wealth of minor characters. Agree would have liked to see him again.
I think this guy was linked to decima.
Shahidul Khan i think your right because wesley was mi6 and Greer use to be mi6 but i can’t remember where wesley was linked to decima
@@reyramos8968 Even if he wasn't it's safe to say that Samaritan probably killed him as part of the 100 guys they killed.
I think Greer is the replacement for this character.

R.I.P Julian Sands
Love that Alistair Wesley has a reverse version of Reece's musical motif. Similar characters with different paths.
And the Voice is the reverse path of Finch
Carter was one of the best characters.
Check her out on Proud Mary
I've loved her since Hustle and Flow. She's great in everything!

I was so angry when they killed Carter. This show is so good.
Great acting. Good question. RIP Julian Sands.

I’d love to see this show return.
I just want Finch to be happy.
I love Reese and Carter they make a beautiful couple!
Nah that's a forced couple

@randywhite3947 reese and zoe were far better. But reese was the only guy being forced into being with carter over and over again by the writers
@randywhite3947 thanks i disagree with the op but i respect all your opinions
@@demonix321You know when you stay something like that the first thing most people think is you're racist. Carter was a million times better than Zoe.
If they have him hook up with anybody, it'll be Zoe Morgan. Paige Turco, the actress who plays her, is one fine-ass woman!

Zoe was a gorgeous but Joss and John just had that chemistry
He likes Zoe, and thinks of her as a strong woman who can handle her own. But Joss saved him. Joss and Harold, when he was almost too far gone.

Took me a while to place the "guest" in this episode. His voice is unmistakable.

Julian Sands(R.I.P. respectfully), great actor indeed. Julian was superb in Naked Lunch by David Cronenberg.

I wonder with that scene if Reese knew who she was talking about. I like to imagine he did but that might just be me fan-girling.
What do you mean? Who was she talking about?
