The one shutdown I’m really sad about is Taiwan and Japan. I grew up in Taiwan, and mainly watched Disney Channel, so that channel has a special place in my heart. Japan, on the other hand? It’s more of a “I like the country” type thing.

One way to stop Disney from Shutting Down their channels is to add a Live TV Function to their streaming services. Similar to the PBS Kids app & Any other Cable Provider app, that way cable will still be alive & Disney will earn double the money.

On February 28th, 2023, Disney Channel Scandinavia has ceased broadcasting on Allente, but it is still broadcasting on other cable providers. The same day, the feed has ceased broadcasting in the Baltics (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania), with the EMEA feed now serving those areas.
And the Scandinavian feed of Disney Channel is now gone, with the Nordics now being served by Disney Channel EMEA.

@@swfhacksmsp I think they only focus on the ones where Disney-branded channels are no more. The Nordics and the Baltics still have those channels. It's just that they switched feeds, specifically the EMEA feed. Although recently, the Nordic feed of Disney channel has been relaunched.

If anyone is wondering about what the first teaser at the Sky Cinema Launch in Germany was (13:42), it essentially was a big screw you, gloating about how great Sky Cinema is in spite of the "Haters" (quite literally said in the ad in English, as you can hear at 13:51), as well as doing the whole "not like the other XYZ" schtick (personifying Sky Cinema as a person with severe mood disorders as well as a dick, but it's okay because "I am brave enough to be different").

I am somewhat impatient to see what will happen for the shutdown of the OG American Disney XD. It pushed my through life. It was like a friend. But now with its depressed state, it’s trying a habit that is just an endless repeat of the same few things (the schedule since 2017). Yet, we are all curious to see what happens when our friends die. I am curious to see how The Walt Disney Company will execute our dear friend, Disney XD. Will it get to relieve it’s youth, or be forced to die alone.

It’s so sad that these channels shut down. I still have all three disney stations (thank goodness!) but it’s unfortunate because not everyone can afford having to pay 8-11 dollars (USD) a month for streaming.
Wow, I missed this one. But in 2023 I'm still glad we have US Disney Channel, even if it isn't for long.
UPD2. Disney Channel is no longer broadcasting in Russia.
UPD. On December 14, 2022, the Disney Channel in Russia will stop broadcasting. The new TV channel to replace the Disney Channel will be called "Solntse," which translates to "Sun."
I'm very surprised why the Disney channel is still broadcasting in Russia. We've never had Disney+ in Russia and probably won't in years to come. I understand why companies are leaving Russia, only a small part of them are leaving because they care about people, they care about their money. And despite the losses from leaving Russia, they will have more losses if they stay in Russia, because they will be pressured by other countries. Right now, for the most part, only Chinese companies can afford to work in Russia with the help of their government. But I digress: the Disney Channel. Disney not only owns the brand in Russia, but originally had a very large share of the channel there, which is now 20%. They can stop broadcasting at any time, and I still don't understand why the channel is still broadcasting.
Maybe it’s because of the UTV Holding that owns other 80% of Disney Channel… I think those guys can’t let Disney do a proper shutdown.
It can also be a license thing, ‘cause I heard their broadcast license is valid until July 2022… And I guess they’d cease the broadcast completely after that.
But even if Disney won’t let UTV to use their logo and franchises further, the UTV can just rename the channel (to U Kids, for example), throw in some “friendly countries” content (it can especially be targeted at girls, because U Channel itself is “designed for women”, as their whole concept says), and bam - we’ve got a brand new kids channel.

On June 14th, Disney+ is being released in Bulgaria and other countries worldwide, I don't know if this will lead to closing of Disney Channel in those countries, but I hope not.

If Disney XD goes away in Canada it will have technically died twice. The original Disney XD became CHRGD when Astral Media lost the rights to Disney shows to Corus and CHRGD is now known as WildBrainTV nowadays.
The current version is owned by Corus and the schedule doesn't change often. SVTFOE recently came back as reruns, sometimes its Gravity Falls, sometimes its Lab Rat that comes back or Ducktales. The Marvel shows only airs on weekends unless you're a night owl that happens to watch the reruns at night.
And as of right now, Corus is NOT managing any of their Disney branded channels the right way, recently The Owl House had its series finale and we were treated to a 47 minutes edited version of the finale that had the prologue completely missing and boy were fans extremely unhappy.
Not to mention that they probably manage Disney+ here in Canada and season 3 of TOH is only going to be added on April 19, shows here just appears really late on Disney+
I saw a really technical document a while back that said that Disney channels in Canada would expire in August 2022. Since that date has come and gone, they seem to have extended the licence. The last one was for 5 years. Looks like Canada's channels still have some time left.

I grew up with Disney Channel, XD, Junior, I used to watch them A LOT in my Grandma’s House back when I was little (maybe when i was about 4 years old)… good ol’ times… (btw, my Country has the Southeast Asia version of the Disney Channels)
Me too. I, just like you and perhaps many other Southeast Asian viewers, if not those around the world, grew up with those Disney Branded Television channels (I only ever watched Disney Channel and Junior, because XD was not available in my country), and seeing them gone hurts me a lot. And thanks to the 2nd wave of channels purging on October 1st, 2023, all Disney and Fox channels are gone for good in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and South Korea, with Taiwan to be the next victim of this.

My brothers and I were kinda into Disney Channel during the early 2000s, with shows like Even Steven's, That's so Raven, Lizzie Macguire, The Proud Family, Kim Possible, those weird channel exclusive movies, etc.
I HATED Disney Channel during my highschool years, like Hannah Montana, Highschool Musical, the Jonas Brothers, and even Phineas and Ferb.
But now I can't help but feel sad for another childhood Channel going away...

All happening in the week before shutdown with a big farewell message. So it can leave with a bang.

As of March 31st, Disney Junior is currently the only Disney related channel that's left in Turkey, since both Disney XD & Disney Channel are now defunct there.
Let's not forget Disney-owned channels: Fox, Fox Crime, FX, Nat Geo, Nat Geo Wild and 24Kitchen (which is a joint venture with Sony).
Next: Hungary. The Disney+ have arrived here too. I will not give a half of a year until the shutdowns. The streaming kills the TV!

Hi. On December 14, 2022, Disney Channel ceased broadcasting in Russia and was replaced by Solntse, a Russia-exclusive channel. Two months earlier, on October 1, 2022, all of the Fox Networks Group Russia channels, including Baby TV, FOX, FOX Life, National Geographic, National Geographic Wild were replaced with Sapfir, Kineko and Terra respectively. This only affected Russian versions, as CIS versions of aforementioned channels still air. Please add the video footage of these channels' closedown into your next video.

In my country Indonesia & Asian Region, October 1st 2021 was the date that all of Disney Star Networks channels in Asian region ceased the broadcasting except for NGC, NatGeo Wild, SCM (Star Chinese Movies, for the SCM Legend version is ceased) & SCC are still remaining. Because their alots of Disney & Fox channel's top programme & movies are moved to Disney+ Hotstar that has complete with many Asian & my country's top local content from my country's top production houses including MD Entertainment, Rapi Films, Falcon Pictures, StarVision, MVP (MultiVision Plus) & Soraya Intercine (for the Warkop DKI Franchise movies), in my country Disney+ Hotstar brings the Indonesia's legendary iconic comedy group Warkop DKI/Warung Kopi which was consists of (Dono, Kasino & Indro) to many viewers worldwide mainly local viewers.
