That huge right shift key is them addressing the complaints from the older models with a tiny shift key right next to the arrow key making a lot of accidental presses.

If you upgrade the secondary ssd, take off that little foam pad, it’ll bend the nvme m.2 ssd if you try to install it with it on

look guy, I have one and Razer has still not mastered the art of cooling. I have had several. It throttles badly under heavy load, especially if you select 120 htz, but under any of the power modes. I have experimnented with them all. The Surface temperature on the bottom gets burning hot to the touch. Of course the build quality is superb, but that is about the only thing that is superior about the Razer. the speakers are very good, but not as rich and full as the Macbook, especially the midrange and bass. After having several of these laptops, I am still wondering what's all the fuss about. I also had the Macbook 16 M1, and it is fantastic. Just get a fast wireless connection and use cloud gaming on the Mac. It hardly gets warm under heavy load, and the battery life is fantastic. It does not lose power on battery as windows laptop do. Sorry, you gaming enthusiasts, Macbooks are still the superior machine. I am going back to the 16 inch M1 eventually.

I think that Razer has become the "macbooks" of gaming.
Beside the design and the super-premium chasis, I would go for a GE75 raider of MSI. For the same price you said I can get a 2080 super (115W) and the same CPU with 4Ghz all cores in stress test. With way batter performance and thermals
Santiago Madariaga - actually Razer thermals are better than MSi raider ge75 that’s why I’m going for Razer also it’s 300hz , but never think about alienware m17 r2 it’s overheating and not-upgradeable .
@@naseralotaibi8475 the GE75 raider also has 300hz. And the thermal headroom makes possible to install almost double graphics power in there (the razer has Max-q (80-90W) graphics card, when the ge75 raider has 150W Max-p graphics).
Yes, alienware is known for having really bad thermals, even the r3 suffers overheating
Santiago Madariaga - Thanks for that I didn’t know about the (80-90w) ,both are amazing but the big difference that razer has (thunderbolt 3 ) and msi raider ge75 has only type-c .. its really makes me confused about choosing from these two laptop .
@@naseralotaibi8475 ya man, it's a shame really. I think that the next revision of the ge75 raider will be amazing. Just look at how the new ge66 looks.
Also, the trackpad on the razer is waaaay better. You have to choose between better speakers and performance (GE75), or a better laptop overall ('cause the razer has a bigger battery, better trackpad, it's more portable for it's shape... etc)
@@naseralotaibi8475 Razer is actually pushing depending on the mode and available power headroom around 100W (significantly above specs for Max-Q) to the graphics when you put it into high performance mode for CPU and GPU in Razer Synapse software.
That's why the scores end up being almost identical to the Max-P variant in gaming.

Great Review Jared! As always! It helped me but I’m still undecided between this one and the Eluktronics Max 17, you should try to get your hands on one, 2200$ i7 10850h, Rtx 2070 Super etc.
Dont buy a Razer Blade ever, I bought a Blade 15 Advanced last year in June, and I have a swollen battery just one month out of warranty. There are a lot of people having this issue, so, ill recommend doing a thorough research on Razer laptops( go through Razer insider - the official razer forum ).

The ac adapter is very expensive
Great laptop but be cautious. I had to return 2 units because I could not get the screws out of the back panel and i'm not paying 3K+ for a laptop i cant upgrade the ram and ssd on. (Currently have a razerblade 15 and never had this issue with it) Ended up giving up and getting a refund.

Orginally bought the 300HZ FHD 2080 SUPER
Had a battery defect returned it and exchanged it for the 4k 120HZ 2080 super
I had both devices on me side by side and for me the 4k 120HZ was the clear winner
