Great review of the complete system . I just picked up the parka and hybrid sleeping bag . Do you have a long term update for the parka/bag and temp ratings ? Thanks
Excellent video. It's important to purchase kit that works as a cohesive layering system. Lots of reviews for single pieces of gear out there, but how it plays with other clothing is critical. Do it wrong and your comfort, moisture management and thermoregulation will be all wrong. Looking forward to future vids.
Hey RAF! Great review, it also helps me greatly that you and I are exactly the same height and weight! I am getting a dually thanks to the fantastic review on your blog, and before they are completely unavailable. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for your great vid. I thought about lighten up my kit. Bought me yesterday the Mountain Equipment K7 Jacket and thinking about comparing it with the Patagonia Hybrid Sleeping Bag. What do you think, for whitch temperature this bag is build?
Honestly hard to say, as it's not rated like a normal bag but assumes you'll be wearing some layer in it. I run quite warm and I'd happily use it to -10C, if not colder, but again it depends a lot on my layers.
Hi guys, iam chasing my country for the VII parka but cant find it to test it for the rigth size. Can you tell me if the size of the nano air ligth, the M10, and the parka are the same ? I would rlly appreciate your help !
I am typically a Medium in Patagonia and find the Nano Air Light and M10 to fit me very well in a Medium, however the VII Parka is a bit on the small side in a Medium and next time I would take a Large in the Parka but keep the others in Medium. Hope this helps!
Thanks for this review, it's really helpful and comprehensive. One qu. though re the Nano Air Light hoody , (which I'm very tempted by) the Patagonia video description says the hood can be either under or over helmet: @55sec here - www.patagonia.com/product/mens-nano-air-light-hoody/84280.html I was wondering if you've actually tried wearing it over a helmet? Not that this would be a deal breaker for me, I'm just curious as to its stretch and fit. Thanks.
I hate to say it but the Micro Puff Hoody doesn't have a helmet-compatible hood, so it couldn't be used as a belay jacket, but perhaps could be a substitute for the Nano Air Hoody in this system. However, the new Micro Puff Storm Hooded Jacket would be an excellent substitute for the Grade VII Parka for warmer temps or wetter environments.
The fastest moving reviewer to have ever lived in the realms of UA-cam!
Awesome video, my man!
a trick: watch series at Flixzone. Been using it for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.
@Christian Daxton Yup, I have been watching on Flixzone} for months myself =)
Is there any updated version of this? Is patagonia still doing an alpine complete kit?

How cold a temp have you used the sleeping bag in? And how cold would you say that system (parka/sleeping bag) is good for?
Would any of this gear be good for trekking up Kilamanjaro or Everest base camp.
how much did the whole kit cost you?

How many liters this bag in which you pack the parka ?
Great review Bud, looks like great clothing.
Hi, great review. Can I ask what the sizes of the clothing are? I have a similar build to yourself. Thanks
They're all Men's Medium - I'm about 180cm and 73kg.
Thanks
You are 5’11”, was the sleeping bag a size Medium ?

I have the nano air original, I've got to assume the hood is close and there is no way you're fitting it over a helmet unless it's tiny.
11:49 I thought I was hearing voices lol
Great review! Subscribed...
Hey, how would the new hooded micro puffy fit with this system?

Nice product!!!
Try using merino wool underwear.
I used merino for years but prefer synthetics now.
