      TheEnd You talking about the same woman who’s story didn’t line up? He didn’t rape her. Drinking, smoking, etc was his personal choices. None of your goddamn business. That same rapper rapped about family togetherness, empowering the community, encouraging single mothers to persevere, raised awareness about youth in the streets, both male and female. People in life have witnessed, and there are videos in actuality, where he himself has stated to the youth that he was no one to idolize. Don’t make it out to be that he was some scumbag lowlife who encouraged children to gangbang. It’s a lie and a setup of a false narrative and I’m not feeling it.

    I remember HATING Africa when I was a little girl in the 70's. I remember a little White girl asked me if I was from there and I ran home crying to my Mom. It wasn't until the 90's that I became proud of Africa. Now that it's 2020 and I'm 51 years old, I have never been prouder than I am now about being a Black woman and I love my people here and in the Motherland. We have so MUCH to be proud of as a people and I teach my teens to be proud of who they are and I educate them on our greatness, our history.

      So are we supposed to just ignore or forget about the African Slave Trade, or the Arab Slave Trade, or the Trans-Saharan Slave Trade, or the Barbary Slave Trade, or the fact that for 1,000 years before Europeans got involved in the slave trade, Africans enslaved other Africans and sold them to the Arabs, who also enslaved Africans and white Europeans?

    One of my favorite speechs from Malcolm X. I can deeply relate to this. When I was about 7 or 8 years old, I used to hate my skin color. I felt like I was too black and ugly and despised my thick hair. I truly wanted to be white and have long straight hair. I used to believe Jesus was white with the blue eyes and wool hair. I was mentally brainwashed and confused. Then, when I watched Malcolm X for the first time, I was amazed. After that day, I started to love my chocolate - skinned self. Now, I fully understand the importance of being black. Thank you Malcolm for showing me the way. May God bless you.

      Malcolm X spent too much time in his own hate and not enough time talking about what is important, like two parent families. Asians are more of a minority than Blacks yet they do even better than Whites. And Nigerian immigrants do even better than Asians! It is cultural. This is something Malcom X could never understand.

    • @asherhouseman6838
      @asherhouseman6838 4 роки тому +2

      @Choyboy 300 , I don't doubt that he did. He also spoke about black crime. But he only spoke to a broad audience and in general terms, so, in the end, the black community did not listen. He should have instructed the other black leaders to concentrate on crime and single parenting and leave off talking about 'racist whitey'. Although he was probably the only black leader with the power to do it (even more than MLK Jr.), he never developed a hierarchy of leadership and command to deal with those most important issues.

    • @asherhouseman6838
      @asherhouseman6838 4 роки тому +1

      @Choyboy 300 , he had the power. People have often talked about how, when they first walked into a room where he was, they could feel the charisma, almost like an electric charge, coming from this man. All it would have taken was for him to gather other black leaders around him. But, sadly, he chose not to. The spotlight in the media became more important to him than actually getting a job done.

    • @asherhouseman6838
      @asherhouseman6838 4 роки тому

    This vid makes me so emotional because I feel we are so lost as a people right now. We really have no one asking us to think outside of the box. Brother Malcolm would be despairingly disappointed in us. It's so sad that so many decades after this beautiful mans' murder we still aren't ready to embrace the truth he spoke. Why? because it is too hard to question oneself and one's programming. Who wants to admit to being bamboozled? I do.We can't keep sleeping while the world sits awake.
