I was shook when the road at 12:41 came up, it’s literally less than a minute from my neighborhood and they finished constructing the road less than 2 years ago (hence the ‘no outlet’ still being there) so I didn’t even know it was on street view yet
"Pee Dee" is actually the name of a major river. I live downriver from that part of NC, and my entire large section of South Carolina is universally referred to as "The Pee Dee." The river and region were named after its indigenous inhabitants, and the Pee Dee Tribe still exists, headquartered in Marlboro County, SC.
My friend has a goal of trying local beer from each state, so we stopped in Asheville to pick up beer, but that was pretty much all I've done there! One of the states I've done the least in so far
I spent a couple days in Charlotte for work last year. The downtown looked pretty nice but it was such a ghost town after office hours... I didn't see anyone walking around even though it was a beautiful evening.
I grew up in Waynesville, NC, about 30 min west of Asheville right in the heart of the mountains. The Blue Ridge will always have a special place in my heart❤
Great video as usual! I stayed in Charlotte for 4 months in 2016 work related. 100% biased, but awesome city and state. Also love the mountains around Asheville/Blowing Rock and the Outer Banks are fantastic as well. Still regularly go there from Germany
When I was a kid, once we passed through NC going to Myrtle Beach (with a night stay in Monroe), and another time we stopped in Cherokee via the Great Smoky Mountains.
I've spent my times in the extremes of NC (eastern and western). I worked for a couple weeks in Jacksonville, NC (Camp Lejeune) and then I've hike the mountains and have been to Mount Mitchell.
Great video! I've spent a good bit time in the Outer Banks of NC throughout the years. I would also love to get over to the more mountainous part of the state too, Asheville looks beautiful.
Ayyyyy my state! I've visited all over NC since...I live here, though it's nowhere near my favorite state to visit (out of the 44 I've been to at least). I'm glad the one place you've visited here is my favorite NC town, and I'd recommend more of the mountains (including the Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore, etc), the beaches (OBX, Wright Brothers Memorial, Carolina Beach, and all the historic landmarks), and maybe parts of the Triangle!
There are a lot of pretty areas in coastal NC too. If you like big Spanish moss draped live oaks, Airlie Gardens in Wilmington is a great place to visit
I visited UNC for a couple days; it was fine. More fun was my trip all along the Blue Ridge Parkway, which was terrific. Best time to visit Mount Mitchell: dawn. A great drive
I have been to Charlotte airport and driven in/out of there, but that's it for my North Carolina experience. I'd really like to see more of it, seems like a really cool state!
yeah it has the highest mountain east of the Mississippi river. Loves from fletcher (btw have a view from three beautiful mountains a few ft from my house).
I’m from Chapel Hill NC. I think the state is SO underrated in terms of natural beauty. I love how many pristine forests there are here. Also, navigating here is a nightmare, so don’t feel bad about struggling with the roads. Lol
most of my experience with north carolina comes from passing through to get to myrtle beach and orlando. i stayed the night in roanoke rapids once though
Last round was less than 5 mins from my office, I was wondering when you would get placed outside of Raleigh! To me, the urban landscape has always felt somewhat 'greener' and the soil more darker in the Raleigh-Durham area versus Charlotte & Winston-Salem. May be all in my head though
A state I’ve technically been to but barely as I just spent the night in Greensboro on a road trip years ago. But I’m dying to get to Asheville and hike Mt Mitchell, but the Outer Banks and seeing the cities of Charlotte and the Research Triangle are high on my list as well

youve finally made it to my home state! great video as always
My friend has a goal of trying local beer from each state, so we stopped in Asheville to pick up beer, but that was pretty much all I've done there! One of the states I've done the least in so far
Awesome, I've started that up as a goal too! Haven't had much since I'm only 22 and visited most states under 21 lol but one day I'll get there
I live in franklin so was nice to see the Main Street on the 3rd round

outside of college campuses and the occasional pedestrianized area, our downtowns are EXTREMELY car-centric and therefore not very walkable. It sucks
My experience was similar, stopped downtown for an hour in the evening and there was next to nobody out, even in a lovely new park

Same here, I live right down the road from Boojum lol
This guy is gonna learn every road in the U.S at some point
I am a very long way off from ever getting to that point 💀
Bro gonna become jhk
Great video as usual!

lol I've lived in NC my whole life. First one I instantly knew was Thomasville area since I lived there for a couple years. Crazy.

Went to the Charlotte area and Fayetteville to see family friends and a beach near Wilmington. Nice state overall.

last round was in my hometown, crazy to see on a geo video :)

Western NC is so pretty. I didn’t really know the state had such big mountains until I was passing through like a year ago and it was really cool

i live there lol
One of the rounds was 3.8 miles from my apartment, recognized it immediately!
Live just below the border of NC south of asheville, been waiting on you to get to NC and SC since the start!

Love the series - well done.

NC 540 toll is the continuation of I540, but it also intersects with NC 54!
So glad you finally got to my state!

I used to go to some Panthers games and the NASCAR races in Charlotte. But haven’t been in a few years.
I’ve been in Raleigh for all my life so I knew you were in Durham and Apex right away basically 😂
I’ve picked someone up from that Duke hospital campus spot haha
the secret lies with charolette
"trust" and "google" should NEVER be used together. It's a paradoxical oxymoron.
the second location in like 2 minutes from my house i was so shocked
I went through NC on a train. In 1987. At night.
Me too, though about 23 years later. The only other bit I've seen of NC has been Charlotte Airport.
@@andyjay729come back! Lots of great things to see here :)
I spent a weekend at a nudist resort near Greenboro.
This guy will never get lost 💀
