Faustin had Niko kill an important person’s son and when there was nothing to do but let faustin die for himself or die with faustin, he kept himself alive. When faustin died and Bulgarrin took his place, Dimitri had no choice but to give up Niko who he likely feels should’ve died when he killed vlad. Niko got in the middle of everything he could and paid the price over and over again.

@@yessir2514 Dimitri was never a friend to Niko, ever since Niko arrived in Liberty City Dimitri had his eyes on him and thus had to change up his attitude to gain his trust as implied by Faustin, he was only using Niko so he can kill Faustin and once that was done he longer needed him, Bulgarin having beef with Niko was only a slight convenience. And I’m 100% certain that since Bulgarin’s influence was greatly nerfed in Liberty City he wasn’t really a threat to Dimitri so I doubt he was forced into doing anything, Bulgarin didn’t really care about Niko like that either since he barely even bothered him throughout the entirety of GTA 4, Dimitri’s only reason for betraying and antagonizing Niko is because he enjoyed it, even going as far as to sending an assassin to kill Roman on his wedding day just to spite Niko despite their beef having been squashed, Dimitri is a treacherous psychopath, always was.

He blames Nikko for killing Faustin because he cannot accept the fact that he is spineless and weak. HE cannot stand up to anyone but instead betray. There was friendship with Nikko at first in fact teaching him about getting better guns but unfortunately it was both Bulgarin and Dimitri who has beef with Nikko now. Faustin mentions Dimitri to be a "Prison Queen" meaning DImitri is being sexually or physically abused in prison. Faustin was there to save him. Faustin has his own problems of being a "drug addicted bully". They both drug crazy assholes.
It genuinely threw me all those years ago when Dimitri sold us out to Bulgarin. I thought he was actually gonna help us, but in the end he showed himself to be a manipulative snake.
