If anyone is put off playing Crystar when they find out the game makes you replay the last 3 areas multiple times, don't be. The story progression is worth it, and each time you repeat it's slightly different with a big payoff at the end. Well worth your time.
That was the biggest BS a game has ever pulled on me and it made me resent it more than a little. Even worse than what Bravely Default did. Crystar was already repetitive before.

Yeah the way I see it, as long as it serves a purpose I don't mind it. And it did serve a big purpose to Crystar's story so I didn't mind the Groundhog Day play experience.
One of my favorite JRPG games and stories of all time. The story was so good that I still think about it from time to time in my everyday life😅 I bought the limited edition last month and I can't wait relive that amazing story again!
I really enjoyed the PS4 version. I think it had an interesting story. Thelema is a big sweetie. Anyone who hasn't played it should check it out as I think it is the worth the time.
You introduced me too this game before it's original release, and I ended up grabbing it on PC. I only ended up getting around halfway through not because I wasn't enjoying the game but PC isn't my preferred platform of choice. I almost lost it when news of Switch version dropped, it was an ASAP for me without doubt. I'm so hype; and now you say it runs well makes me extra excited. My collectors edition is on it's way. And I'm pretty sure NIS still have some in stock; if people are interested.
I've got the ps4 Edson, but didn't play it much. But I play a lot of switch hands bend, like 98% of my switch time is on hand, so I'm very excited about this port. Thanks for the great news!

I grabbed Crystar day one on PS4 and really loved it (though I haven't gotten around to finishing it yet... that backlog, man...) and, knowing that this port is well done, I am very likely gonna double dip, just to play it on my favorite modern platform with my favorite controller. Plus, I never did get the DLC on the PS4 version, so I'm definitely looking forward to that, too!

English dub was well done too 😍 great characters and engaging story. Gameplay was simple but effective. I was playing a ton with the ranged character. I kinda want to do another run after i'm done with rune factory 5.
Not really a sequel, two completely different games made by different developers, crystar was made by gemdrops studios and crymachina was made by aquaria studios
Played it on PS4 thanks to your recommendation and loved it. And well, thanks again, cause now I can recommend it to a friend who could only play it on Switch.

Great question, I would probably choose CRYSTAR as well if I had too. But the story tones are different, since CRYSTAR is a bit darker. So I’d consider that as well if you’re trying to pick one :))

Saw this Game coincidentally in a Store and I checked your Video first before buying it. I played now through the Game and the only Thing that I don't understand is: how do I delete Safe Files ? (I don't need the Backup anymore)
Question I see there's 2 versions of the game on the switch. There is a black cover and a white cover cased version of the games. Does anyone know the difference?
I'm not 100% sure on this as I don't own the physical edition (only digital), but I had a look on Play-Asia and it looks like the white cover tends to be the Western version (so with English) and the black cover seems to be the Japanese cover. I could be wrong as I haven't physically seen either, but maybe make sure to check the region if you're looking to pick it up! Hope that helps :3

Honestly can't wait to play this again. The story and the soundtrack were the highlights for me personally, so I don't mind double dipping.
I also held back to buy this game on PS4 due to censorship issues. Good to hear, that it runs well on Switch.
