They were unhappily married to other people and were just getting to know each other here. A few years later, they would be married to each other. This video is literally the lights coming on in the house of love. Best love story ever. They were meant to be. You’ve gotta hear Vince’s song he wrote after meeting and falling in love with Amy, “Whenever You Come Around.” Gorgeous, gorgeous song.
It was love at first sight even though they were married to other people, though to be fair not happily. Their voices harmonize so perfectly they were meant to perform together. Lovely instumentation, making for a great melody. This song is beautifully arranged, you can't help but get emotionally captivated by their voices. Beautiful duet. 💕 Vince said he couldn't forget her smile and wrote "Whenever You Come Around" about Amy after. They both ended up divorced and ended up married in the end. Ahhhh... Happy Ending. I hear the 70s influence in their delivery Harri. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Daniel. You old romantic. 😊 Beautiful. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Harri, you should react to "Someday Soon" by Suzy Bogguss. The writer, Ian Tyson, passed away just a little over a week ago on Dec 29, 2022. R.I.P. The song has been covered by so many people, It was first made famous by Judy Collins, But Suzy Bogguss's hit version is best. It was a match made in heaven when she sang it, She owned it!
I actually met Vince in 1992 at his mom's house. His wife was there but never came downstairs to say hello. Vince is one of the sweetest men I've ever met. He gave me a kiss on the cheek...What a sweetheart. I'm so happy he's married to Amy now. Oh yeah, his daughter Jenny was 9 at the time and she was such a sweet girl.
It was a big controversy in the Christian music community when Amy Grant divorced Gary Chapman (another Christian music artist) and then married Vince Gill. But you listen to a song like this and how can you feel anything but joy for Amy and Vince?
Amy said she wanted a higher pitched male voice. Vince said he got his high pitched voice when his brother threw a hockey puck at him and hit him right in the you know where. 😱 Harri, they were not married when this song was recorded but it was obvious there was something between them. They've been married for over 20 years. Vince was in the 70's group Pure Prairie League. Then he started his solo Country Career and had a very successful career in Country Music. He and the late Glenn Frey's Son replaced Glenn in the Eagles. A pretty impressive resume. 🙃👍🇺🇸🇨🇦🇬🇧🤴
Harri, it is Vince Gill not Jill. 🙃. He was in Pure Prairie League, and one of the biggest Country Artists ever. He is now in The Eagles. He is a pretty big deal 👍🙃. Thanks for reacting to this guilty pleasure song of mine. This song went to #5 on the adult contemporary charts and #37 on the Billboard top 40 list, and #9 in Canada. 🤴🇬🇧😉👍🇨🇦🇺🇸
My favorite. It brought me back to listenibg to music after a long sabbatical. It was wonderful, wholesome, and playful. Kudos, Harri!! Do some more, Vince's "Adrianna,"
Their marriage did come with a share of scandal. Amy us a BIG name in tge Contemporary Christiac music scene (multiple Dove awards winner). Their marriage came from divorce. Also, I get a kick how you cone up with your own pronunciations of some popular artists names (including Vince Gill and especially Bob Dylan). It always good for a chuckle. It confirms that you are indeed being introduced, for the first time, to these artists.
Amy and Vince first became friends over their passion for golf. Amy actually wrote this song for Vince and his wife who were going through a bad time in their marriage.
This was not meant to be a duet. It was tracked too high for Amy. When Vince asked Amy to be in his Christmas special, she said she would if he would sing the high part in HOL.
I guess this long after this was put up, you've already learned that his last name starts with a hard G, like is in the word gate or guard. Not like in jill.
Amy Grant is a national treasure. An amazing human being in every way
They did not marry until 6 years after this song was recorded, but there surely was a chemistry between them. 🔥
Vince Gill has one of the most beautiful tenor voices ever. And Amy's voice is just as beautiful. Together they are perfect

I just love these two together! It was meant to be. The song is amazing and they fell in love❤️

Hi from T.O. Great selection. No faking their love, just look in their eyes.

I love that song! I didn't know Ian Tyson just passed away. Great songwriter from Canada,
I second the recommendation for this song. Suzy has one of the best voices in country music, and many fantastic songs to listen to.

Two super talents.

Thank you for a great reaction to a brilliant song Harri!
They were both so young in this, must have been quite a while ago. I've never heard this before.
Here you have two great talented artists, I love both of their music

You just got a subscribe! 😊 thanks for doing Amy Grant my fave artist. Please do more Amy and Madonna too! 😅
Great song! Great couple! Great reaction! WTG Harri!!
Ah I love this song. 🎤🎵🎶
It's kind of funny that she is the one singing the lower register and he's singing the upper one!!!
They have been married a long time. I would love to hang out in there house can you imagine all the music.

I've learned a lot from your picks Cyn. Thanks 🙃👍🇨🇦🇺🇸🤴🇬🇧😉
@@danielvolk237 Aww thanks Daniel, you always say such nice things.
Have you heard of Anastacia..."I'm Outta Love"?
Glad he did this segment, but a little advanced research might improve his commentary.

It's Vince Gill, sounding like a fish gill, not like Jack and Jill.
