They are used in other Stronghold games,for example SH Legends,SH2,SH3,but I never used them in Stronghold Crusader. :)

If you build a wall around stone mines you can place cows next to the stockpile brings you stone faster .

I'm glad I found a free download of this game, it has the original 8 characters plus bonus ones. the first 3 of the new battles were easy, I merely rushed about 20 horse archers at their main entrance to stop them from being ab;e to build any further and crush what economy hey managed to build since they obviously can't get recruits or workers if all of the peasants are dead. I built my economy to very prosperous while they only had their lord and a respawning jester. I got past sultan and caliph in the first two original battles with the same tactic, but the third is more difficult since I have two opponents. Richard is a cool ally, I prefer Snake, but that is irrelevant. I primarily use arab troops for how quick I can recruit them, but Richard has european troops, which are good for their power and versatility, but slower to recruit. I could rush one, but then the other can build up easily without someone stopping him

you can use the bad factor to get a huge economy at the end and making money(selling iron and stone)and resources and when you have ur baracks army delete the bad factor and add the happy factor because it will make ur troops more powerfull

I always made 20 catapulta and 10 balistas to clean evertything, supported with 50 horse arches. Easy peasy.

10 000 is A LOT of gold to start with. Impossible to mess this one up if you know what you are doing.
Also, first map with an ally. Lionheart is a cool ally, but he wasn't too effective at besieging the Caliph. Then, once I had breached the walls on the remaining Caliph, he took his troops and marched north to the grave of the other Caliph rather than help me kill the living one. AI's gonna AI I guess.
