    I have a 2 months old.
I exclusively cloth diaper since her birth.
I'm amazed how easy and convenient it is.
To me it is absolutely worth to buy newborn diapers as well.
    I'm still using newborn diapers.
I educated myself well beforehand, so I didn't have almost any problem with the process as my setup was complete.
I cloth diaper when we are out as well. It is all a matter of being prepared.
I use washcloths instead of disposable wipes and it's so convenient as well.

I’ve watched so many of these videos since I found out I was pregnant and you’ve done the best job with explaining everything.
So happy you made this before I ordered my cloth diapers so I can use your link!
I can’t wait for the wash routine video.

Great video, but thought that I would add that the Nora’s nursery bamboo inserts actually have microfiber in them. Also, most charcoal bamboo inserts are actually just microfiber with a layer of fleece on top. They are really deceiving especially because microfiber isn’t very absorbent and is prone to compression leaks.

So true! The only way I truly got any of our microfiber or “bamboo” inserts to work was to layer them with a hemp insert on the bottom. And that’s crazy about “charcoal bamboo” insert! I had no idea. Glad we never gave them a try.

By far this is the best informational video I have seen on youtube for cloth diapers. You make this so clear and easy to understand. All the other videos were overwhelming me so much. Thank you!

Formula fed baby poop is also water soluble unless baby has passed a big chunk they also can be chucked straight in the wash ( mum of 7 used cloth since 2011) some were breast fed some were formula fed

I use some lighthouse kids AIO and they have a bamboo with like 8 layers. It never leaks!

I had a baby at the end of April and we started cloth diapering when she was a few weeks old. We tried all in 2s (which have an inner that snaps and a waterproof outer that snaps as well), pocket diapers, and all in ones. I definitely like the all in 2s best. I sold my pockets and NB all in ones and bought more all in 2s. I still have some used all in ones, because I’m hoping her daycare will use the cloth diapers.

I'm currently potty training my 4 year old and she still poops her underwear. I just do the swish and dunk in toliet. Sure it's gross but it's doesn't cost anything and I just wash my hands extra well after

So I'm planning on doing the same with baby 3 and cloth diapers. Also you should mention breastmilk and formula exclusively makes the poop water soluble so cloth diapers will get thrown directly on washing machine

I would say with all the leaking you experienced, it could have boiled down to the quality of the diapers you're using. In short, you do get what you pay for.

It was because of the types of inserts I was using and how I was using them.

The clean up of newborn poo is 10x better than cleaning up toddler poop! Babies on milk only all you do is throw it in the wash ohhh super easy

In my head, i figured id keep a bucket with water, baking soda n vinegar, rinse the diapers n put it in the bucket until ready for wash..in about 3 days... is this doable?

Baking soda and vinegar together will “cancel” each other out, making salt water. Most diaper companies recommend against soaking diapers because the elastics will degrade faster. You also have to be very careful with little kiddos wandering around that they don’t have access to the bucket because it only takes an inch or two of water to drown.
I’ve never found soaking to be necessary. Your best friend is airflow. The more air your diapers get the less they’ll smell. And sunshine! Gets stains out like magic. Although diapers can be stained while still being clean, sunning is more for looks than cleanliness. Solid food poop often stains but after washing they’ll smell totally fresh.

Why did you name your kid after a router?

This was incredibly helpful!! We’re expecting our first baby in September and I know that I want to cloth diaper in some capacity but the entire process is SO overwhelming to me. You broke it down so well and I am so thankful. 🤍
