Cannot describe how cool this feels, the God of stories, coming from our OG avengers timeline straight outta 2012. Where this is going could be unreal. And this series is beyond well done.
As a science fiction author I can confirm the validity of his breakdown between Science and Fiction. I can also identify with his struggle to find an audience.

Idk if Loki qualifies to be an avenger in the orginal movies but he certainly redeemed himself by the end. This Loki is a beast, shit I hope we get season 3 Loki or movies that he gets into & could certainly be on par with like dr strange time stone power if he can permanently control his time slipping
If you look on the bench, when Not OB shocks Loki, you can see Short Round's Yankees hat; great little easter egg.
I like how OB comes to the right conclusions about Loki's time slipping being not random so quickly. It took Dr. Strange until the end of the movie to figure out the same thing about America Chavez's universe hopping in Multiverse of Madness using the same logic.
We are led to assume that Casey was Frank Morris, the only man to ever escape from Alcatraz.
The other two guys he escaped with also were real, but yes that is accurate. Only 3
Eric martin, the head writer, said that the reason Sylvie remembers is because she is a god like Loki and they both play by different rules. That implies that her remembering IS an anomaly, compared to rest of tva members, so she didn't use the tempad to get away. She was caught up in the explosion. After, she might've woken up in TVA like Loki did and used tempad to get out of there.
O-B's name of "A.D. Doug" could be a reference to sci-fi author Douglas Adams (who wrote The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy). Show has made references to the number 42 (Protocol 42). O-B still maintained a very optimistic demeanor, even after losing his job and wife.
Casey is implied to be "Frank Morris", one of the 3 last real-life escapees from Alcatraz in 1962 (they never recaptured Frank Morris and his 2 prisoner associates). Similarly, though Casey/Frank was seen "pickpocketing" things, this goes back to Casey having a drawer full of Infinity Stones in season 1.
Hunter B-15 being a Doctor in New York, in 2012, could be during the events of the Battle of New York (the first Avengers film).
Mobius/Don saying his wife is "long gone" in 2022, could be a reference to Thanos "Snap" which occured in 2018. Hulk's snap which brought everyone back, didn't happen until 2023.
Möbius has 2 sons that remind me of Thor and Loki.
The oldest is Shawn - letter after S is T (Thor)
The younger and more mischievous one is named Kevin
The letter after K is L (Loki)

I also think that Shawn/Sean acts like Loki (even loves snakes); and Kevin is chaotic and dangerous like Sylvie.
Maybe that’s why Möbius had such an immediate affinity for Loki when he first met him?
Also Kevin had that Green Cycle (Loki's color) while Sean had that Red Cycle (Thor's color) and Apparently Sean loves snakes like Thor Did, he told that in Ragnarok
I may have missed this in the discussion, but what did folks think about Loki's "I'll gut you like a fish Casey" line from ep.1/season 1 & the line from Casey/Frank's escape: "if they catch us theyre going to gut us like fish"?

I love how people use to shade Tom Hiddelson making fun of his acting style, and thinking he takes character acting and world lore too seriously. Look at him now. The only man in the MCU holding the current MCU together, and not in some narssisstic important way, but on a career and character level he's passionate about.

You have to remember that the TVA was staffed by variants that had been drafted (shanghaied?) from branch timelines that are now spaghettifying.
Correct. And Loki being the sole remaining person at the TVA, is likely due to him not having a timeline/branch to go back to. The Sacred Timeline Loki died to Thanos in 2018, and Loki is a variant caused by the time heist to 2012. His branch was pruned by the TVA.
Lyle (Record Store Owner) was a real hero here. Some really big Steve Rogers energy coming from him.
Guy was confronted with the absolutely wild existential horror of watching his entire reality dissolve into threads, and his first thought was to do whatever little he could for someone else's sake. His entire world was just literally unraveling before his eyes, and the only thing he thought of to do was help Sylvie over himself.
It's the cosmic equivalent of Steve throwing himself on the grenade in the first Cap movie. Lyle deserves the serum. He's a fundamentally good dude.
Remember, Sylvie doesn’t have a timeline either. She was taken from Asgard and her timeline pruned. She’s pretty much an intruder. A timeline nomad.

I think Mobius’ wife may have disappeared during the blip in their timeline. Who knows though. lol
2022 is during the blip, and if she left him he probably wouldn’t have had the chance to sell her jetski. It makes all the sense

36:42 Sylvie wasn't actually content. You could see that she was crying as soon as she sat on the couch, like she was barely holding back tears. She built a life for herself but it's fragile and incomplete. And so of course, all of it crumbles.
The one thing I pondered about Mobius and his life on the timeline is that its the year 2022 for him. If the Blip happened in his timeline as well, then he is in the middle of it at this point. HIs wife could have been dusted leaving him with his 2 sons. The possibilities are so interesting to think about.

I have a theory that episode 5 no longer exists because when Loki returns to before the explosion of the loom, he is overwriting the things that occurred in previous episodes. And if Loki is overwriting the past, he therefore could not have given OB the TVA manual to then create the temp-pad in the post loom explosion timeline reset.
Also I thoroughly agree with you all’s theory about Loki likely finding out that nothing he is doing is totally his choice and that reality leading him down a dark path. He could then have a true redemption arc after Kang is defeated and spend his eternity solving multiverse incursion problems- which are likely to be the norm once the look is officially gone. Which is what I hope to explore in future seasons.

With the brain lost memories are still there, but they are obstructed from your memory. Memory deletion cannot delete, it just blocked certain pathways to memory.
So even with diseases like Alzheimer's the memory isn't lost it's locked away because the brain cannot fire pulses into that area because of a protein buildup, all memory is technically intact, but blocked
That is Why the variants character remains intact, because the brain was just rewriten not wiped

1:07 Of course he does. Loki is from the Sacred Timeline. His picking up the Tesseract created a Nexus Event that event created a branch--that was purged from existence, the things that weren't supposed to happen.
1:24 Both points of view can be true, and that appears to be the case: Case is on his own Branched Timeline in 1962; Sylvie is on her own in 1982; OB is on his own in 1994; B15 is on her own in 2012 and Mobius is on his own in 2022. Sylvie's Branched Timeline isn't really her own, but it's the one she currently calls home.

I love how this season is really going in on the fact that time doesn't pass at the TVA. Season Two of Loki picks up right where Season One of Loki left off, and the time that's passed during the story told between isn't all that much. In fact, I'd argue that from the time Ravonna purging Sylvie from her timeline, HWR ordered Miss Minutes to erase all of their memories, the Minute Men pursing the Loki Variants across the Multiverse, the Death of HWR and what's going on now all took place within hours for those at the TVA. In that Time, Sylvie lived more than a thousand years on the run, hiding in the ends of worlds.

12:23 Do you remember how this episode started? It started with HWR telling Loki and Sylvie that he paved the way to the story they are on. I don't think Loki built the TVA, but he's certainly REBUILDING it. This story still feels very much like a story HWR is controlling, even in death he knows what's going to happen and what's needed to fix the moment. What were Miss Minutes and Ravonna doing before things really got out of hand? They were fast tracking Victor's story on the Sacred Timeline, they then jumped 25 years to see the fruits of their labor and what did Victor have in his possession? The very thing the TVA needs right now in this moment in time. That wasn't a coincidence!
When HWR made his pitch to Loki and Sylvie, Sylvie was against it from the start, but Loki was already thinking about his offer before the pitch was finished. But HWR's plan required both Loki and Sylvie, so how do you get both of them to work together when only one is willing to take you up on your offer? Show them why they have to do, and that's what season two has been doing. Why did HWR need these two specific Lokis? Is it because Loki can spend an eternity with himself and be content?
16:21 is this the pitch HWR made when he pulled him from his timeline the first time? Did he an others say something similar? Maybe this is why Protocol 42 even exists. Aside from all of time collapsing and everything and everyone no longer existing, which is frightening in and of itself, what was so important for Kang to get back to in Quantumania? There's a threat he was trying to prevent, perhaps the thing HWR has been keeping at bay.
17:17 Time isn't leaner. Look at the branches on a tree don't grow at the same rate or to the same length, right? What about the strands of hair on your head? Some grow faster than others and some are longer than others, that's what's happening to branches on the timeline. Loki's moving between several branches instantaneously. While it only felt like minutes for Loki with his time with OB to Mobius, it was 19 for OB--OB's branch was in the year 1994, while Mobius' Branch is 28 years ahead.
17:22 Casey still takes things at the TVA too, lol. Memories erased or not, agents at the TVA still remain to hold on fragments of the people they once worse. OB is still an inventor and a writer. HIs office looks very much like his office at the TVA. Casey's cart was full of valuables from the Sacred Timeline, Infinity stones and all! Mobius had an affinity for personal Watercraft. B15 has a burning need to help people; she cares about every one. Even Ravonna had a pen from the school she used to work at.
19:51 2014 Loki is now where Classic Loki was the moment he got purged. He lived for thousands of years in solitude until he couldn't any more. Classic Loki, like 2014 Loki, eventually wanted to go home and see his family; he got lonely too. Classic Loki was the only Loki we knew that survived Thanos and the snap, and we know from his telling that he lived a pretty quiet life. 2014 Loki has come a long way from where he was, he's grown so much. Sure, his story is very different from Classic Loki's but he's reached the same point at the end of Classic Loki's story, the need to be around people he cares about. Sylvie's selfishness is where 2014 Loki was when he brought an alien army to Earth.

I feel like he's the original narrator of all this and possibly the Creator of the TVA. That he did this unknowingly just to keep his friends. It hasn't really been just Kang this whole time.
I think it's interesting how the tva counterparts adopted roles that were a 180 from there own natural tendencies. I wonder if flipping instincts is easier to control than managing all the negatives.

Also, Don/Mobius talking about his wife being "long gone" in 2022, could be a reference to Thanos "snap" in 2018. She may have been a victim of the snap, and won't return until Hulk snaps them bac in 2023.

People are gonna try to figure out the time-travel plot of all this...and...fail, miserably.
Not because it's too complex, or because they personally just don't know how...but because the WRITERS don't even get it. It's not even good fiction, as far as the plot goes...it's only stupid.
I love the characters, and I love how events impact them, and their responses to it. But overall...the plot is really dumb. Ignore it except where it's essential to the characters.
Loki is all about the characters, and in that sense, it's the best...and it's completely satisfying on that alone.
