  • This 1926 Lux Table clock was wound all the way and not ticking. After messing around with the clock, oiling the clock, I noticed that things were not right. In this video I show that I had to change the Hair Spring. I also wax the metal case with Howards wax and after a few hours, buffed the case with a towel and it looks so much better.

Here I do most of my work on clocks. Mainly cuckoo clocks, yet I am always looking for the unusual and eye catching clocks. Some of the clocks I get into are ones that need saved from the dump. They fell off the wall from not securing the clock to the wall using the stud behind the sheetrock. Some of the clocks were laid to rest out in the garage or barn and I except the challenge of getting them back together again.
A well loved clock at one time is one that has a lot of wear and you find old bushings that might need to be replaced.
