Been following your helpful videos and got two of my 400 day clocks running so far. The Schatz 49 (1962) is keeping time to within a few seconds a day now with the pendulum weight increased. It was my dad's so he would have purchased it in the 1970s or early 1980s. I've had that clock in a box for 40+ years and put off looking at it as they had a reputation for being impossible to work on. I recently bought a 3 ball Badische in need of cleaning and setting up. Now it is cleaned and lubricated that is running even before I've adjusted it (escapement and fork position both way off at the moment) it's even keeping fairly good time over the last few days - not put the face back on just the hour hand... Thanks again Derek for your inspirational videos that have encouraged me to bash on and get to grips with these beautiful clocks. I have several of my dad's in the queue including some nice early disc pendulum models, a Kaiser "Universe" and full size Kienzle calendar 400-day clock for when my skills are really up to scratch.
Great video Derek. The camera seems to always get in the way when I do my videos. At least you are handling it professionally and keeping your wits and cool about you. Thanks for positing this.

Thanks Andrew for your kind comments, I have done a video of the Kaiser Universe when you are ready but there are at least 3 different movements.
Great film´s you make. I learn a lot. Your voice is nice and steady. Best from Denmark / Erik
