Original Santal by Creed is a harmonious medley played out by cinnamon and sandalwood. As an attempt to keep up with the growing trends of the perfume industry, Creed released this woody oriental fragrance to the market in 2005. As the fragrance opens up with a sharp coriander note in the head, it is ephemeral and mildly concentrated. Once this note evaporates completely, a duality between cinnamon and sandalwood begins to play out. The two notes are at a constant struggle for one to supersede the other, the the cinnamon always comes out victorious. Its sweetness is accompanied by a tonka bean and vanilla note in the base, the former being slightly more perceivable than the latter. Lavender makes a surprise appearance, but only enough to provide a calming effect among the gourmand chaos. But is the tried of the cinnamon, tonka bean, and vanilla responsible for all of the fragrance's sweetness? Juniper berry may very well contribute to that sweetness, but it succeeds more at offering the composition a mild fruity overtone which only overanalysis may detect. A night out fragrance to contrast all of the 1 Millions and Le Males of the world.

I've only bought 2 of my Creeds at retail, but I have a feeling I'll be buying all my future Creeds at retail from now on. Wow! That's excellent! I guess that just goes to show that body chemistry plays an important role. Despite the less-than-par performance I get from OS, it's still one of the better performing Creeds that I own. lol!
I personally like Kilian fragrances, but I do think that some are overhyped. I like Back to Black, Straight to Heaven (beautiful rum note), Amber Oud, and that's probably it. I agree with everything you said, about the Creed flacon too. $600 is way too much for my blood unless it's something I feel like I absolutely must have. Spice & Wood, Sublime Vanille, and Jardin d'Amalfi are all superb, but I'd rather complete my collection of the flasks first. =) Thanks again for tuning in!

My guess is that Creed takes pride in the fact that they use the best of the best ingredients from the year's harvest in their fragrances so they decided to print it on their boxes despite it not being part of the name of many of their fragrances. I would expect to get fewer batch variations from these fragrances, but that's not the case at all. Thanks for watching!

Just got a sample of this with an order from them... amazing, absolutely amazing. I'm a huge sandwalwood fan. This smells a bit like Santal 33 (?) from Le Labo to me, which I also love, but this one seems like it'd have more mass appeal... really nice scent.
Oh do you think its worth to buy even after i owned le labo 33? Or maybe save money for some different fragrances?
Juniper berry is NOT fruity smelling at all. It's very bitter, astringent, spicy and a bit sweet, it's the main flavouring agent in gin. smell some gin and you'll know exactly how it smells.

Just keep in mind that they sell international variations, so the lot number may be printed on the lower end of the back of the bottle instead of the rim, but it's still legit. I would strongly recommend you avoid eBay as a lot of fakes are sold there. Thanks again for watching!

Love your hairstyle, I really do not care for most creeds due to the fact they are just a higher quality blends of a lot of mainstream scents. My most favorite are Creed royal oud and wood & spices

Me and Creed, we don't have the best of relationships, for several reasons, but especially because of the problem with batches. I can't take seriously a company that doesn't mantain a constancy in the quality of their production, don't they have formulas to go by? I don't get it. I'm certainly not going to loose sleep thinking about the different batch variations. Having said that, they do have decent fragrances to their name. Your review was superb :)

Nice video man, I recently purchased creed green irish tweed from fragrence net, i got sold a fake! there was no serial numbers on the bottle at all.the sprayer was all metal no white under the atomizer. I bought from them before just never a creed. I just wanted to know if there was any other places you know of that give this product for a lesser price? Ps I seen this bottle on target website you think it's legit? thank you for your time .

Every house in India has sandalwood(we call it "Chandan"). Sometimes we apply that sandalwood on forehead in extreme heat condition like in summer. It cools down the head temperature.

@ redolesscence have you ever purchased creed silver mountain water from fragrancenet and if so did it have that metalic note in the opening this because I purchased SMW from perfumelot.com and it did not have that metalic note and my bottle was a 2013 batch
I bought my bottle from someone in the community who bought it from FragranceNet, and it does have the 'inky' note. It doesn't smell metallic to me. It smells more like ink you'd find in a pen. I think that may be the ambergris. I haven't heard much about perfumelot though.

OS is more an original scent in my opinion, where Aventus smells like the body soap ZEST or IRISH SPRING sold here in the US.

The more I know 'em, the less I like 'em. I have a couple of bottles - mi, ov, aventus - which I bought in Paris from the creed shop. They smelled wonderful in the shop, but on me they all smell synthetic, stale, rancid on the drydown. A huge letdown, to say the least. Well, at least I got most of the French vat back, not that it was much of a consolation. :(

I just bought this from fragerance x .com the cap on sprayer dont say creed and when I take cap off it's a big white ring with small black ring and under cap there no extra plastic clip under cap but I checked batch codes both same and checked when its made it said in 2017 but smells differant them my sample do you guys think it's a fake or just newer bottle ?
It is probably the way how they store the bottles , goes bad over time. I've heard that with some bottles from those particular sites tend to store bottles terribly so the scent ends up smelling differently
