Your intake on 10:23 mins in got me LIKE and subscribed because that’s actually a great take unless you are the door they tried to open that change they about to initiate. Whatever that is, I like what you said.
Nice overview Crystal, and very insightful. I can honestly say that there is not one Kayali fragrance I enjoyed. I kept my expectations low because of the social media hype. It was a hard pass across the board. I’m looking forward to seeing your Kayali collection in the next video.
For me, Kayali is like Shein and Fashion Nova. Their marketing has never worked on me because I find a lot of their promos to be corny. How they get away with charging those prices for what often feels like body sprays is spectacular. Yes, how we interpret fragrances is subjective. However, when seasoned fragrance influencers give the impression that EVERY Kayali release is a masterpiece and can only use the positive superlatives to describe the scents, the question of respect for their audience/subscribers comes into play. Mind you, these same fragrance influencers have zero problems mentioning the good AND the bad of fragrances they don't receive as PR. Interesting.
Great video. Yes some people “over-hype” things. But to be honest we do NOT all share the same opinion (good or bad) about anything. So what may be seen as “over-hype” could just be the truth of others. There are certain notes and fragrances that make me smile from the inside out and the people and friends closest to me absolutely hate them. Does that mean I’m lying about how good the scent is… NO! We just all see, taste and smell things differently. And yes people HATE to see others win! It’s ok to know stuff just don’t know too much or make too much money 😂
This was such an amazing video! I absolutely loved how you approached the Kayali fragrances, so informative and unfiltered. Your details really brought out the essence of the brand, and I can tell you put a lot of thought into this. As a huge fan of Kayali, it was refreshing to hear an honest, well-rounded perspective. You’ve definitely made me appreciate the fragrances even more! ✨ Thank you for sharing this incredible video!
First I LOVE THIS BACKGROUND, the entire aesthetic and you! 😍💖 😍💖 Secondly being in my 50's I realize my childhood fragrance loves have influenced my current preferences. Like Nautica, Prescryptive Calx, Tommy Girl, Liz Claiborne, Jean Nate. Because I'm from Brooklyn I also wore a lot of African oils: Egyptian musk, Blue Nile, White Nile, Sandalwood, Kush. So I enjoy iconic fragrances that others say are "mature".😂 I dont have a favorite house but my favorite perfumes are: 1.Decadence by Marc Jacobs 2.Jasmine Noir by Blvgari 3. Cashmere Mist by Donna Karen 4. La vie est belle le Elixir (new one) & the Original by Lancome 5. Pink Friday By Nicki Minaj 6. Idole by Lancome 7. Jimmy Choo (original) 8. Black Opium by YSL
First time viewer and fragrance lover. Love this video. Now you got me hooked and waiting in the next video! Can’t wait to hear your feelings about the Kayali frags in your collection!
Love the new background❤ This was soo informative, I would love to hear your opinion or rank these fragrances. I only have a small double sided rollerball of the Vanilla 23 and Musk12. I found them very pleasant.
Yes, lying and not revealing a bias toward a certain brand because they give/get trips, free product and compensation does cast doubt of honesty with the brand and the influencer.
Kayali scents are beautiful! I can attest to the fact that the longer they sit.. the stronger they get and longer they last..my favorites are Sugared Patchouli, SDPP and Smokey Oud
Thanks for taking a moment to comment and share your perspective. I hope you actually watched and appreciated the video’s perspective. Take good care ❤️
Don’t get me wrong I own and love a few Kayali perfumes but I just think they should put more effort into creating something not so juvenile and more unique.
@@kathyjimenez4370 Amen!!! Their best fragrances are the older discontinued ones...except for Vanilla 28 and the revived Wedding Silk Santal. They market to those that don't have jobs and can't even PURCHASE these new fragrances with their own money...ie juveniles. My personal gripe is the cheap rot-gut rum-scented alcohol propellant they have used in Yum Pistachio Gelato and Sparkling Lychee in particular. It is VILE!!! I admit to blind-buying a 100 ml Sparkling Lychee based on the pre-launch hype...and THEN went into Sephora to smell it...and recoiled in horror at the cheap rot-gut rum. I took it home last Christmas for our Fragrance Christmas and even my 29 year old daughter and 11 year old granddaughter didn't like it. I'm hoping it will have mellowed and the alcohol disbursed come spring when it has sat for 16 months by then...but it is unusable as is. I cannot and will not blind-buy another Kayali fragrance. I fell for the marketing once, but never again.
I love Matiere Premiere, PDM, and many others including designer brands certainly Kayali is one of them. I adore Utopia Vanilla Coco , Vanilla Rock Sugar and Yum Boujee.
Thanks for the background information. I love learning new things especially the history behind founders/products etc. I currently have a sample size of a Kayali fragrance in rotation now.
I bought a kayali sampler set. I decided this is not the brand for me. They all have the same underlying smell on me so I wasn’t a fan. Gave them to my daughter.
I own a lot of Kayali. I enjoy certain scents they have. Maybe because I’m a little older, I don’t rely on influencers to tell me what I like. I get the ascent, I either like it or not. As a neutral person, do I believe Kayali over hype their scents, yes but they are supposed to, but when the influencers over hype, hmmmm it does make me move away from that certain Influencer..
I’ve never owned one kayali fragrance until the marshmallow one, which was WILDLY underwhelming and never understood why it was so hyped. They all seem super juvenile to me. But this makes sense!
Kaylai perfumes do not live up to the price. I have purchased similar smelling perfumes that are fraction of the cost that have the projection and longevity of an expensive perfume I feel the marketing hype of this brand is what allows Mona to get away with over price low quality perfume.
I’ve worn perfumes since the sixth grade, I’m now over 40, personally I find most if not the entire collection to be overrated and more suited to late teens and mid 20s. In other words, I think the fragrances are juvenile. I would not recommend any of them to grown women. They’re much better perfumes a grown woman could add to their collection for the price.
Welcome Pretty People! Enjoy the new video and drop your favorite perfume house in the comments ❤

@@faithchrissybeauty Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes fragrance is such a fun adventure so it’s interesting to see how everyone’s tastes vary.
Great video and thanks for your insight. Unfortunately, none of these Kayali perfumes work with my body chemistry even if layered with other scents 😕
Glad you liked the video! Tastes vary. I definitely don’t believe in forcing any fragrance. If it’s not it, there are a zillion more❤
My favorite house is Parfums de Marley. I own many Kayali fragrances, my favorite is Royal Vanilla Sugared Patchouli!
PDM has some beautiful fragrances. Royal Vanilla turned out to be one of my surprise favorites.
Same!

Influencers overhype this perfume house because of the free goods! Nothing creative or original about this brand!

I’ve never owned one kayali fragrance until the marshmallow one, which was WILDLY underwhelming and never understood why it was so hyped. They all seem super juvenile to me. But this makes sense!
When it comes to fragrance experiences definitely vary widely - which adds to the adventure for me.
