87 on Jan 1st, played this so many times in a skiffle group I had during my RAF days in Germany 1957, brings back fantastic memories of an era we will never see again.
The more of these videos I watch, the more I appreciate them all. I haven't got all the names down yet, and some of the costume changes confuse me, but I'm learning to recognize them one by one. Ulf is the devil of the group, that sly smile, sometimes coming out juggling or keeping us on our toes. The clarinetist almost the opposite, all business. Mama on the banjo. I'll gradually get all their names down, but I already enjoy them all.

Solo of Gunhild's daughter Idun on the baritone! (or is it a tuba?) VERY NICE! She has great potential! Sorry for asking, but are the other 2 girls (playing slide trombone and banjo) also daughters of Gunhild? They certainly have her gorgeous looks :-) :-) :-) These girls can't have better music teachers: their mother, grandmother, grandfather (playing jazz in heaven now), aunt and 2 uncles are all jazz virtuosos! These girls have jazz in their genes :-) A former school teacher of mine who plays the contrabas in a Flemish jazzband in his spare time told me that one learns to play jazz in small steps. The daughters of Gunhild are learning these steps now I guess, and of course they will get better and better! A unique, admirable family! It must be wonderful to grow up in such a musical family. Sorry if I write too much!
The clarinet and lead singer was fire. However, the rest of the band sounded like they were playing at a funeral. Especially that guitar solo, oh she played the notes all right, and was technically perfect. But there was no emotional depth into the music. Maybe she should practice closing her eyes and letting the music flow through her. Listen to the work of Jeff Beck and Vernidine White of Earth wind & fire.
