The lucy was found in COLORADO. Several people got in legal trouble for having them. The sable and the swiss will be the same thing when he finally breeds to to a sable.
@@tbmreptiles7384 I know it's a year old! They are not the same looking animals in the slightest. There are major differences. The swiss/toffee and swiss/albino combos look way more saturated and bright than mai tais and sunbursts. There are a bunch of hypo and albino genes but all have very different looks. It's the same with sable and swiss, and i'd even go to say they look way different compared to an albino and ppa or a toffee and a evans hypo.
I WAS FREAKING OUT BECAUSE I THOUGHT MY SNAKE WAS MESSED UP BECAUSE ONE EYE IS REGULAR AND ONE IS BLACK, thank you so much for this video that’s insane, that eye has been fine since she was a baby she can see out of it as good as the other one just is jet black
Great video! Have you heard of leucistic being mixed with anything other than albino so far? Those is the only leucistic combo I have seen for sale at least. I have a pair of het leucistics that I am raising up with the hopes of making double and triple hets and maybe someday more visual combos. Currently working with axanthic, sable, lavender, and albino!
Jeff Galewood has produced arctic and super arctic Lucy's. I think Evans hypo has been mixed as well. There's some breeders that are going to see how sable interacts with it
My Frosted Superconda and my Lavender 66% Het Frosted babies fly over from the UK in just a few weeks. I have even waiting for 2 months for the Frosted Super, and I bought the little Lavender yesterday because - Purple Snake Baby!!! I and my girls love your videos. Thank you for all you do for the hognose community.
Thanks, your videos really inspired me to start making UA-cam videos. I remember watching all of your hognose videos and seeing out you grew your collection over the years
@@shovelnosehogs It was dark black, just as black as a Black Rat snake. I was totally surprised thinking I was walking up on a small black rat snake. Every other wild hog nose I had seen over the past 40 years was brown or tan with brown or dark brown patterns.
I don't really understand it completely. From my knowledge the T stands for tyrosinase which is an enzyme responsible for melanin produce. I think a traditional albino hognose is classified as a T negative albino and caramel & toffee are T positive albinos
T+ means it has the tryosinase enzyme (which is a catalyst for melanine) T- means it actually lacks that enzyme. Basicly this means T+ can still have some black/grey-ish in their scales or eyes and T- will not.
Super well put together video man! You deserve more subs for sure.
Thanks
Right?! Just showed up in my recs in UA-cam and I'm subscribed.
The lucy was found in COLORADO. Several people got in legal trouble for having them.
The sable and the swiss will be the same thing when he finally breeds to to a sable.
The swiss and sable have been proven to be two completely different recessive genes! A swiss and sable were paired and produced all normals.
@@amybarratt4227 this post is a year old! Swiss does the same thing as sable. The combos thus far has been the same looking animals.

Germaine,
Thanks again for another informative and visually pleasing video!
Kelly, aka. Future hoggie owner
Thanks for the comments. I'm currently working on more up to date morph videos
My top snakes to find this year were a hognose and a bull snake, found a young bull snake couple of weeks ago, still have never found a hognose

Wait so u just happen to have a Diablo and not know it? 😳😱
This video helped me decide on what morph I wanted! Thank you! Lol, going to send you the bill since it's all your fault 🙃.
Absolutely beautiful snakes! Great info and delivered well. Thank you for this video.
Thank you

Thanks. Those are some powerhouse snakes
Really appreciate all of your work, great job on every one of the morph specific videos.

I have an axanthic superconda. It’s my favorite morph :)
Those are definitely nice
Recently subbed, digging your channel brother 👍 Beautiful snakes 🐍
Germaine I need an updated video of this and your morph guild's!
I'm actually working on new morph guides
@@shovelnosehogs that's awesome! Those are some of my favorite videos and a huge help in deciding what directions I want to take my collection!
Bought two lavender condas a few weeks ago. Gonna try to get a lavender supercona when they are ready to mate. What do you think about that? :D
Hopefully you can hit the odds. You got a 25% chance lol
caught wild all black hog nose snake in NW Illinois in 2019. Only solid colored one I have seen in 40 years.
Was it darker than the Sable or Swiss chocolate?
@@shovelnosehogs It was dark black, just as black as a Black Rat snake. I was totally surprised thinking I was walking up on a small black rat snake. Every other wild hog nose I had seen over the past 40 years was brown or tan with brown or dark brown patterns.
very nice selection
Great video thanks for the information
The Swiss chocolate is not confirmed to be different from Sable. Until that happens it's not a recognized morph ;)
It has been, since then a swiss and sable have produced all normals, making them completely different recessive genes
Heck yeah. Great video. Ty
i love number 3
Have you seen the Savannah morph?
No I've never heard of that
i have this superarctic albino conda is there a chance you would be willing to look at it because the headstamp is missing so maybe new trait ??
I seriously want a snow super condo but not for the price you said they’d be fuck that
Just got my hognose shes a lemon ghost
My dad is getting a swiss chocolate next Thursday I will send pictures
I wish I could get my hands on one
Whats up with tricolor westerns?
They're a different species from the westerns. I'm personally not into tri-colored hognose snakes
can you tell me How to make lucy stuck morph ?
A lucy is a singe recessive gene. You basically have to buy a lucy or get 2 hognoses that carry the lucy gene
I already have a Lucy! But she's a chihuahua lol
What’s t positive albino n T negative !?
I don't really understand it completely. From my knowledge the T stands for tyrosinase which is an enzyme responsible for melanin produce. I think a traditional albino hognose is classified as a T negative albino and caramel & toffee are T positive albinos
Wow thank you so much for the info very interesting well will be learng more as we go
Have u seen the Lotus thats breed in China
I think I've seen that person post on Facebook
Hi im carlo your fan from Philippines i hope you notice my message I really like the hognose but i dont have hehe hoping you gave me thank you 🙏
What does T+ and T- mean please?
I'm not a 100% sure what the difference between those are. When I get a better understanding, I'll make a video
T+ means it has the tryosinase enzyme (which is a catalyst for melanine) T- means it actually lacks that enzyme.
Basicly this means T+ can still have some black/grey-ish in their scales or eyes and T- will not.
HI
I love leucy
