Sorry for not replying sooner, What sort it of stuff would you like to see in the videos? I would like to make more but I don’t want to annoy people by putting out the same video, maybe some feeding videos?
My yabbie used to escape when I cleaned the tank without fail the next morning he’d be scooting around the kitchen, caught him fighting with the cat there one morning 🤣
Its a beauty mate, ive been keeping predator Hap african cichlids for a number of years with great success and major enjoyment for my family and I but im considering replacing them with a single native like the cod. How is he going and what do you feed him mostly?
I would love to make contact with you . My Jeff is a 2 year old cod he was gifted to me in a little tank that used to house goldfish. The very first night he was sucked up into the pump as a fingerling and he is now S shaped. He hunts and feeds on live food and worms. I spend so much time just watching him. He lives with yabbies small fish and apple snails which seems to be a healthy mix for the tank he is in. Every morning I get up and do a body count lol. He manages to nock the feeder fish off during the night. Thank you for the videos there is not much out there in the way of how to's I sincerely appreciate your efforts. I would love to share Jeffs journey with you.
Jeff sounds like he has had a great adventure so far! They are awesome to watch and as you probably would have seen they have very distinct personalities!
Cool cod. he will start to grow really fast soon. I have a 3 year old living in an outdoor pond he would be pushing 55cm. I'm surprised the yabby has not eaten those fish yet.
Hey, the pellets I buy from Bushes Produce in Bendigo, they are very very cheap but don’t have a brand on them. They are just a protein pellet of some description.
Great to see old mates thriving in his new tank
Thanks for watching, he definitely seems to love it!
Plz more updates

The cod is super cool and the yellowbelly are sick can’t wait to see them get bigger and get their humps
Yeah I’m looking forward to that as well! Also looking forward to building them a bigger tank in about a year or so.
The Yabbie is looking for some food haha
Yep he sure is, luckily he is a bit slow.
@@harts1321 yea all yabbies are slow at the moment

Thanks mate! I think the little yellas must be to quick, if he got one he was cod food but all good so far, it’s been about a month.
I have 5 large yabbies in a tank with Galaxis and silver perch and have never had any issues
He is so cool
This is a really great video Jared. You could always test out new lures on this fella :-)

Hey mate what pellets are you using for your murray cod?
I’ve just bought one and feeding him live fish all the time is getting pretty expensive😂

@@harts1321 cheers will have a look
Are the yellowbelly hard to keep?
Don’t keep them with a yabby, it took a few months but the yabby eventually caught them unfortunately, I plan to make a new setup and try again.
could i grow a murray cod out in a 3 foot tank?
For a few years yeah sure, just have a plan for after that.
I feed my pet cod blood worms yabbies and goldfish
I feed him blood worms and yabbies also, I avoid the goldfish because of the disease risk.
@@harts1321 yeah I get mine from my nans pet shop and the second they get the they put stuff in the tank to get rid of it
how old is he?
4 years, he mentions it early in the video
He is between 3 and 4, close to 4 I think.
