I brought the complete set up from Bushes in Bendigo.

Yeah I think it would be, you might fit a few in there but just be careful how you get them, I think it’s illegal to catch and keep them but not sure.

@@harts1321 yeah I'm in south Australia so it's illegal to return to waters, there is no size or bag limit so I should be fine, thanks!

I’m not sure on the brand, they are just a bulk protein pellet from the local pet shop, he loves them.

Don’t keep them with a yabby, it took a few months but the yabby eventually caught them unfortunately, I plan to make a new setup and try again.

I feed him blood worms and yabbies also, I avoid the goldfish because of the disease risk.

@@harts1321 yeah I get mine from my nans pet shop and the second they get the they put stuff in the tank to get rid of it

Eventually on the cod, the yabbies got the yellas so they will need their own tank next time.

They are easy to keep, just make sure you do water changes every couple of weeks and keep an eye on the water parameters and you should be right 👍🏻

Yeah apparently the new metery is 1.2 so you’ve bettered that. They may have to start making new brag mats as these fish are getting bigger.

@@harts1321 me and my mate were fishing the flats and didn’t come across any fish. How shallow do you fish up the flats. We would fish till around 4 ft at the shallowest and didn’t have any luck. Then again the fish are always moving so maybe we were unlucky the couple days when we fished shallow

Hey, the pellets I buy from Bushes Produce in Bendigo, they are very very cheap but don’t have a brand on them. They are just a protein pellet of some description.

Heys been a bit crook from something in the water and is just coming back to full health now so an update shouldn’t be to far away, I have been trying to film him eating some yabbies.

Hey mate, I got my setup from Bushes Produce in Williamson street Bendigo.

They are spider wood, most pet stores that sell fish should have it, it’s a light brown kinda sandy colour before you put it in water.

The cod is a bit sick at the moment but he is on the mend.

The pump I’m using is just an aqua one canister filter, the size would depend on what size tank you end up with, I had my cod in the little 2ft tank for his first couple of years then moved him to the 4ft, I will only get another couple of years before I will go bigger again. You can do it the same way but if you have the room and budget go for the biggest tank possible.

200 gallon tank mate, 4 foot long.

@@harts1321 its 200 litre mate....not even 70 gallons. You can't put a cod in anything under an 8ft tank without having future upgrade plans.

I run the water temp as low as the temp setting goes on the heater, 18 degrees. They are fine without a heater so I set mine as just to keep him active over the winter and it hardly comes on over summer.
